Digimon: Rise of a New Threat

Cerberumon got knocked back by Veedramon's tail as he growled at him for getting in his way. "I have no interest in fight a weakling. I am only following my master's orders to hunt down that MarineAngemon but if you are so eager to prevent me from reaching my prey then I will take you down first." Cerberumon said to Veedramon as he started to circle him. He then stopped when he was infront of Veedramon. "Maddog Fire!" Cerberumon shouted as he released red hot jet of fire from his mouth that heads towards Veedramon. Kuro and BlackGatomon heard a scream and then Miya laughing knowing that she must be with the Digidestined that was captured. He then turned his attention back to the crystal orb as he saw that a Veedramon was blocking Cerberumon's path. He then looked his partner. "BlackGatomon I want you to go find MarineAngemon and bring him to me." Kuro said calmly to BlackGatomon as she replied with a nod. He then extended out his hand to create a dark portal that led to the area of the forest that was near where MarineAngemon was at. BlackGatomon walked through the portal as it closed behind her. She started to search for MarineAngemon as she walked through the forest. After a while she ended up in a forest clearing where she spotted MarineAngemon who was with one of the Digidestined and a girl that she recognized as Kuro's younger sister Shira. She was a bit surprised that Shira and her partner were in the Digital world.

"Huh?" Davis spun around to look at another person he didn't recognize. "Gee, this place is getting pretty crowded." He kind of wondered why there were suddenly other digidestined cropping up in the forest clearing. Had Izzy managed to get a hold of some more allies or was it just a coincidence that first the girl with the Moonmon had arrived and now this guy with the purple-furred dinosaur digimon that Davis had never seen before either. At least this guy's digimon looked like it was at least at the Rookie level so it was probably a decent enough fighter. The last thing Davis wanted right now was to be someone else's baby sitter. It didn't help any that it sounded like there was a battle going on somewhere in the forest nearby and the sounds were coming from the direction that the Marine Angemon that was clinging to Shira had come from.

"Not to be rude or anything, but we should probably get away from here before whatever is making all that noise comes looking for us," Davis finally suggested. "By the way, I'm Davis and this is my partner, Raidramon. Normally he's Veemon, but right now he's in one of his armor forms so we can travel faster."

"Nice to meet you," Raidramon nodded to Shira, Moonmon, Marine Angemon, Kristoph, and Dorumon in turn. That was when he finally noticed Black Gatomon in the vicinity. "Hold on, when did you get here?"

"Hey, wasn't she with the guys that captured Dea and Teddymon?" Davis added as he rounded on Black Gatomon. "What are you jerks planning on doing with our friends!" Davis yelled in a demanding tone.

"Whatever it is, don't think we're going to let you get away with it!" Raidramon added with with a slight snarl, readying to attack as blue colored electricity crackled along the spines on the back of his armor.

"In that case, I guess we're done talking," Davis responded in annoyance.  He had no intention of allowing anyone else to be kidnapped on his watch.  "Get her, Raidramon!"

"Blue Thunder!" Raidramon called out as the blue colored electricity emitted from the spines on the armor on his back converged into a pulsating crimson sphere of electricity to be launched toward Black Gatomon with lightning speed.

Davis looked to Kristoph. "If you and your partner don't mind jumping in, we could kind of use a hand here. That Black Gatomon is a lot trickier than she looks."

Kristoph nodded and held up his digivice to Dorumon. "No problem, sounds like that other fight might be getting closer too." He said before nodding to his partner. "Dorumon digivolve to...Reptiledramon" The newly digivolved digimon stepped forwards to stand next to Raidramon between Black Gatomon and the kids. "You may as well go back now because you can't have them."

"Nice to meet you Davis, I'm Kristoph. Before I forget, you said something about them having captured someone?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at the other, wondering if he'd heard the name right earlier. It didn't seem likely, but he wanted to be sure either way. He picked up a stick off the ground and swung it back and forth a couple of times, wishing there was a good way to bring a sword of his own with him, but not with the digiport in the school.

"There's no question about it," Izzy looked at the dedicated digital world map display monitor hanging on his bedroom wall with a frown.  "The distortion we first detected a few days ago clearly overlaps with the position of that dark castle."  He then turned to face his desktop monitor where Gennai's face could be seen in a video conference window.  "But the distortion itself doesn't appear to have originated in the digital world itself.  Based on what I've heard from TK and Kari, those shadowy digimon that have appeared might actually be the same shadowy beings that kidnapped Kari three years ago and dragged her to the world of darkness that we call the Dark Ocean."

"If that's true, then I'm afraid there isn't going to be an easy way to fight them," Gennai responded through the static of the shaky video conference connection.  "I'll try to to look into it, but not a whole lot has been documented about that other world because of how frightfully inaccessible it normally is.  Most humans and digimon wisely choose to avoid it if at all possible."

Izzy nodded.  "Thanks Gennai.  I'll see what I can find out for myself on this end."

"Good luck," Gennai answered before his image disappeared from the conference window.

"It sounds like we're really in the dark about this whole situation," Tentomon finally spoke up.  "I mean, you know it's bad when even Gennai doesn't seem to know anything about it."

"It's a problem, but we're just going to have to use our own information gathering resources to figure something out," Izzy replied. "There's nothing else we can do right now." He began typing away at the keyboard, bringing up several browser windows and running many simultaneous internet searches to see if he could find anything. Tentomon, meanwhile, simply went back to keeping an eye on the distortion shown on the map of the digital world.
