Digimon: Rise of a New Threat

After Kuro and BlackGatomon went Kuro's dark portal and made to the dark castle enterance with Devidramon carrying Shira, Lunamon, and MarineAngemon he had Devidramon set Shira, Lunamon, and MarineAngemon down. He watched his younger sister got up to her feet as he noticed she was still holding MarineAngemon who was terrified and noticed Lunamon was hiding behind her. He then looked over at Razuko and Astamon.  "BlackGatomon and I are going on ahead inside and am bringing my younger sister, her partner, and MarineAngemon with us." Kuro said calmly to Razuko and Astamon as he walked in side the castle with Shira, Lunamon, and MarineAngemon following close behind him. BlackGatomon could notice the worried look in Kuro's eyes. "Kuro seems worried about something."  BlackGatomon said to Mikemon as she followed him, his younger sister, and MarineAngemon inside the castle.

Razuko nodded to Kuro as he watched him enter the castle with Shira, Lunamon, and Marine Angemon.  Whatever Kuro intended to do with them, it wasn't any of his business.  Astamon didn't appear to be particularly interested in them either.

"Hm, I wonder what could be bothering him," Mikemon commented on what Black Gatomon had said as she remained behind momentarily with Razuko and Astamon.

"As the digidestined chosen by the Crest of Darkness, I'm sure Kuro must be under a fair amount of pressure.  It's probably nothing to worry about," Astamon answered gently.  "Anyway, you two go on ahead to our resting chamber.  Mikemon, if I recall correctly, you said you wanted to take a nap anyway."  He paused, smiling softly to them both.  "I have some other business I need to attend to, but I promise to catch up with you both soon enough."

"Um... sure," Razuko responded uncertainly.

"You will be alright as long as you stay with Mikemon," Astamon assured him.  Mikemon was, after all, Astamon's most trusted and loyal follower.  As long as Astamon willed it, Mikemon wouldn't allow any harm to befall Razuko.

"Alright, we'll see you later then," Razuko nodded and started toward the castle with Mikemon.  Once they were inside they headed into the wing that had quickly become occupied by the rest of Astamon's followers.  Eventually they reached a wooden door marked with the same symbol as the Crest of Sloth, carved out by Astamon himself, to show that he had claimed it as his own.  Razuko and Mikemon slipped inside, Mikemon quickly taking over a spot on the deep purple and black velvet canopied bed that had been provided at Astamon's request. Razuko sighed and sat down on a comfortable leather armchair to await his partner's return, suddenly feeling very alone inside the castle.



Astamon, meanwhile, went to consult with a certain digimon among his many followers. "Matadormon, I have a special assignment for you."

"Oh? Sounds interesting," Matadormon smiled a very pointy and angular smile.

"Take some of the Kyuukimon with you into the forest," Astamon told him. "If you see a girl with a Snow Agumon, eliminate them immediately."

Matadormon bowed before Astamon. "It shall be done, my lord."

As Matadormon left to round up some of the Kyuukimon as Astamon had instructed, Astamon lingered a moment longer to consider whether or not it might be worth volunteering Razuko as a guinea pig for Miya's experiments to see if that might strengthen the boy's resolve.

"Oh good, you're here," Izzy greeted them with his face still buried in his computer monitor.  "I guess that means we're just waiting on Davis."  Izzy spun around in his chair.  "Well then, I'm sure you all must have a lot of questions, but for now I guess we should start with the introductions."  He then waited to give the rest of the original and junior digidestined already gathered in his room a chance to introduce themselves and their respective digimon partners.  Hopefully the two newcomers would be less overwhelmed once they were better acquainted with everyone.

Kusara listened to Davis say that he and his partner were on their way to a meeting with the other Digidestined and asked her if BlackGatomon's partner was her younger brother and if Lunamon's partner was her younger sister.
"Yes. My younger brother's name is Kuro and my younger sister's name is Shira. I am their older sister Kusara and this is my partner Lopmon." Kusara said calmly to Davis as she picked up Lopmon in her arms. She then got ready to follow Davis and his partner to the place the Digidestined's meeting was at.

"Got it," Davis replied as he led Kusara and Lopmon out of the computer lab and through the school building until they were outside.  Then he started leading the way to Izzy's family's apartment where the digidestined meeting was being held.  Once they arrived they were let inside by Izzy's mom who welcomed them and then left them to their own devices.  Davis, having been there before, casually led the way to Izzy's room where everyone else was gathered after removing his shoes to add them to the ever growing pile by the door.  Naturally, when Kusara and Lopmon arrived with Davis, it was time for everybody else already gathered in Izzy's room to start introducing themselves again.

Kristoph sighed a little and ran a hand though his hair, looking at what Izzy was showing him. He saw what he was talking about, but it didn't really change how Kristoph felt about it. "I hate to say it, but none of that really changes the fact that I have to get to Dea. Not sure from there, but I have to get to her." He said slowly, shrugging a little and leaning back against the wall. It wasn't real smart, but his current view of things was pretty narrow. Whatever everyone else did was another matter entirely. "Its...important. I haven't seen Dea in years, but she was my best friend, I owe her that much, no matter how stupid it is."

"That's because the serum is working. It's unlocking that which was locked away, what those Digidestined took from you. And now you're back and hopefully ready to take up the mantle set before you." Miya said with a smile as Dea took her hand. Below in the arena, Dorumon looked up, his eyes glowing brightly for a moment as the Dracomon twins looked at him expectantly.

"Miya did it... She reawoke the darkness in Dea's heart."  The Dracomon twins gave each others high fives as they turned to look at Teddymon. "So, what're ya gonna do?" "Are you gonna join our little gang?" "Or try to oppose your partner's new found glory?" Dorumon also turned to look at Teddymon, the gem on his forehead glinting in the dim light as he stepped down off the railing and back onto the floor. The arena around them had finally emptied out, not even a trace of the fighting from earlier remained on the floor below them. In the distance, however, the din of cheering and chanting could be heard. All the way here one could hear the excitement from the dark forces at the 'return' of their Queen.

"Can you feel it? Can you feel the power surging through you from Dea's crest?"
