Star Trek, A New Journey
This is the journey of the Galaxy Class Starship USS Dragonfly. The ship is about to leave drydock for an two month tour to an new nebula. But before the Dragonfly can leave port. The ship had just finished getting some new members of it crew that will soon call the Dragonfly home. Now the ship will soon be leaving into the great unknown of deep space.

7. I did not think I needed to post this, but please be respectful of your fellow RPers. If they do something wrong, POLITELY tell them, so they can fix it. If they do not, then PM me and let me know.
8. This one is connected to rule number one. If you are thinking about doing something that involves the setting, wait until I let you know if it worked or not. Think of me as the Thread Master who says what works for the setting (ex. that you encounter a locked door and you tried to get in). If your action is involving another character, get in contact with that RPer and figure it out together or what for their character to react to the action (ex, that your character tried to punch out another person's character).
9. Try to do at least three sentences per post, definitely try to steer clear of one liners.

Captain Maximillian (Max) Willows
Captain Maximillian (Max) Willows sat in his ready room going over the files of some of the new members that was joining the crew. The Dragonfly was finishing up upgrades on the ship's engines to match more of the newer starship now in the Fleet. He was eager to meet his new first officer and their new Chief Science Officer as well. He smiled some knowing that his daughter Samantha would have someone her age to be friends with as the new First Officer and Science Officer had a son that was the same age as his daughter. |

Commander Dreaka Ackerman, First Officer
Dreaka was standing by one of the windows that looked out to the drydock that held the Dragonfly, his family's new home. This was the second Galaxy class starship that he ever been on. The first was just a ride along as it took him to his first posting onbroad DS9. He was at awe at the size of the Galaxy Class starship and always wanted to be posted to one and now he had his chance. He waited for his wife and son to meet him at the window as they went off to get some food before they broad the starship. |

 Selenity Willows- Ship's Counselor
Selenity had her young daughter, Samantha, by the hand and she was leading the way to her husband's ready room. Once they got there, she pushed the button that would announce their presence, then waited for Max to give them permission to enter. Samantha was bouncing on her tip toes beside her, which caused the woman to smile softly. She could see her daughter was eager to see her father, even if they had just seen him this morning for breakfast.
"Be patient, my little butterfly, your father will let us in soon. I know you want to see him, but we have to wait for him to give us permission. He is the ship's captain, after all,"she said calmly.

 Ashley Ackerman- Ship's Chief Science Officer
Ashley finally came back over to where her husband was standing by the window, Solomon with her and two plates of food. She handed over one of the plates to Dreaka, knowing he was probably hungry too. She looked out the window and looked at the starship that they would soon be calling home. She was excited and nervous at the same time, though only her family could tell because there were others around them.
"It looks like we are almost ready to go aboard. How are you feeling about this?"she asked.

The sound of both his wife and daughter announcing their presence outside the door pulled him away from reading the bio of the new crew members. He placed the pad down on the table and looked toward the door. "Enter" he called smiling as he already knew who it was behind the door, and he was glad to have them see him.

Selenity smiled when she heard her husband telling them they could enter, a small 'yay' coming from Samantha. She pressed the button to allow the door to slide open and as soon as it did, Samantha took off like a shot to hug her father tightly. Selenity shook her head in amusement, before she walked inside the room herself.
"Were you reading up on the new crew members coming on board, love? From what I read in my own files that were sent over, they are some of the best,"she commented.

Dreaka smiled as she came over with tray of food for him, taking it from her as he leaned against the rail as he started to eat the meal. He looked over at her as she looked at the ship asking him how he felt about getting posted to the ship. "Honored, I kinda always wanted to serve onbroad a Galaxy Class starship ever since I was one for afew days." He told her as he took another bite of his meal. He blinked and smirked as their son was leaning against the rail between the two of them as he was at awe at how big the ship was. It was easy to tell that the young boy was happy glad to be there. He looked up at his mom smiling "Mommy, its so big!" He said smiling happily as he was trying to show that he wasn't nervous as much as their new home was bigger than their last and he was alittle scared to meet new people. Dreaka smiled as he watched his family glad to have them there with him.

The second that the door open and Solomon saw Samantha running to him to hug him. He got up from his chair and he pulled her into his arms as he returned the hug and nuzzled his cheek against her playful with her. "Hey, Sweetheart. You been a good girl for mommy?" he asked her as he helded her in his arms. He turned to look toward Selenity nodding, "Yes I was. Always good to double try everything before meeting them." He said smiling before continuing, "Indeed they are some of the best Starfleet has and I'm glad that they are joining our crew." He then turned to his daughter, "Sammy dear, Our new First Officer and Science Officer have a son that's your age. So why don't the two of you try and be friends?" He asked her.

Ashley Ackerman- Ship's Chief Science Officer
Ashley had a smile in her eyes when her husband explained how honored he felt about being able to be on a Galaxy class starship. She couldn't blame him, she also felt very proud that she had been assigned to the U.S.S Dragonfly and with her family. She actually had a chance to put her skills to practice doing something she felt was worthy of her skills. Not to say what she was doing before was bad, she just felt like she could make more of a difference here. When she heard Solomon, she patted his head and nodded.
"Yes dear, it is quite a big ship, huh? That is going to be our new home, so you will get to explore it. Maybe you will have someone to explore it with. I heard that the captain and his wife have a daughter around your age,"she spoke.

Selenity watched as her daughter and husband hugged, she always thought they were so cute when they did that. She nodded her head to him, she was interested to see how they would interact with the rest of the crew.
"I just hope they don't have any problems fitting in with everyone. It can be hard to adjust to new people,"she spoke.
Samantha nodded her head to her father's first question, to let him know she had been a good girl.
" I have been a very good girl, Daddy. What if he doesn't like anything I like?"she asked.

Solomon smiled as he closed his eyes for afew seconds as his mother patted his head. Looking up at her, blinked "really?" He asked then looked back at the ship alittle worried as he never was able to make a lot of friends as they kept moving around and also all of the other kids that he knew were way older than him. "What if she doesn't have to be friends?" asking her alittle nervous about it.
Dreaka watched the two talk as he finished his meal placing the tray down next to him before he leaned over placing his hand on his son's shoulder causing the young boy to look up at his father. "I'm sure that the two of you will be good friends. Just be nice and remember always be on your best." He said smiling and that caused Solomon to smile back nodding. Dreaka then looked back up at Ashley smiling toward her. "So, how are you feeling about serving onbroad the Dragonfly?" He asked her, he knew that she was nervous. He always knew everything about her, she was his wife and he loved her deeply. He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her cheek, "Don't worry honey. I will always be there to help you when you get nervous," he told her as he took her hand in his holding her hand softly. |
