Amelia chuckled just a little when Clovis mentioned their parents. "I'm not sure I would have fancied fencing though, to be honest. I guess I just never saw myself even holding any weapon." Amelia tilted her head when he frowned. She knew she was lucky to be getting a better living arrangement. "Maybe you can ask Joshua or maybe I can talk to ...no. Second thought I really don't want to talk to that bastard Meinard. I still can't believe he broke their arms." She frowned. She really wanted nothing to do with the Captain. Did not want to see him, did not want to acknowledge him. Just wanted him to stay away from her.
Amelia saw Clovis wave to Joshua. "I think I'm going to go talk to Thomas. See if he has that room figured out yet for me." Honestly she wanted to know more about the alcohol and try some. She had finished eating already. "I'll come find you later." Amelia smiled softly as she gave her brother a brief hug before she went to find Thomas.
"Miss me?" Amelia smiled when she found Thomas. "Did you figure out my new room arrangements? Also about the you know what?" She hoped Thomas caught her drift since she didn't want to say it aloud. At least she did not want others to know she was going to be having alcohol. Least Clovis hears. He'd forbid it but she wanted to try it so bad! It wasn't fair that most nobles had already had some alcohol!

Thomas ate as he watched the noble recruits relaxed over a warm meal, he allowed himself to hope that things might just work out as long as nobles and soldiers began to work together as he and Amelia have. As dinner continued he wondered just kind of box he opened by agreeing to allow her to stay in his room, it was the only place he could put her other than the barracks. As he finished up his meal he leaned back and took a drink from his glass, Will she take this as something more than what he means it as he thought to himself. The offer of wine didn't help but make it seem like something more he though as he chuckled to himself.
Once dinner began to draw to a close he stood and cleared his plates, he waited till Amelia had finished before he approached her "I did indeed, now then Lady Amelia, if your finished eating I would ask that you follow me. I need to show you something." he said in a respectful tone as he waited patiently for her to stand, "I trust you'll appreciate what I have to show you." he added before offering his hand to help her stand. Once she had stood he led her to the barracks to gather her bags, at that point he showed her to his quarters "Here we are, you can use this room. I have a small office through that door there where I can sleep, forgive the collection of junk on the shelves." he said with a slight chuckle.
Room description: Thomas's room is modest sized with a solid framed bed with a foot locker at it's base against the far wall, to it right is a small wooden desk with a matching chair. On the left side of the room was two doors, one leading to a small wash room and the other to his office. All along the walls are sketched pictures and small metal shields with one picture in particular holding a place above the small dresser in a wooden frame of a military unit with dates written over many of the faces.

Amelia was glad to hear Clovis say that the Captain could not hurt them. Still, the idea of knowing what he did was terrifying. What if he really 'lost it'? Wouldn't they all be in danger then? Still, she would do her best to keep that thought to the back of her mind.
Amelia was a bit taken back knowing she would be sharing a room with Thomas. Though he did mention that he'd be sleeping in his study. It was an improvement though. Sleeping with all the other soldiers, ick. At least here all she had to deal with was Thomas. He was still technically going to be in another room, so that didn't fully bother her. It did, but not fully. She was worried if she complained about it that he would send her back to her old sleeping arrangement.
Amelia wondered about the room. She took in the pictures and shields, but stopped at the one that hung above the dresser. "Dates?" She spoke aloud as she tilted her head. She could assume what it might mean and she frowned as she turned her head and looked over at Thomas. Where these his friends that where no longer alive? She had never truly lost anyone dear to her before. Let alone it wasn't like she had friends in the castle. She could imagine though. She often had been worried with the fear of Clovis dying. He was the most prized person to her. She needed him in her life. He understood her and she him.
"This is good. Nice." Amelia smiled softly. "A lot nicer than sharing a room with a bunch of other soldiers. And I do not mind the junk at all. Though I think I might try straightening it up a little." Amelia had often straightened her own room up back at the castle. Mainly for the fact she always wanted to know where everything was of hers. All her dresses, her brushes. Everything had a place in her room. She wanted that same feel here. "Thank you, Thomas."
Cain turned his head to look at Alex when he repeated the word weird. When Alex explained that he had nearly lost his cool simply by the dining situation here. "Hm...well weird isn't that bad." He chuckled a little. "Look, everyone has their things that set them off. It's nothing to really be ashamed of, though." Cain had his tantrums himself, but not as much since he was a young child. Not since his mother's death. His tantrums though when he didn't get his way, mainly when he was told that he could not gamble or drink, he still would draw his sword upon the person that spoke no.
Cain couldn't help but to burst out laughing when Alex said he had his fill for the day of women. "Well you did touch my sister's breasts! Between you and me though she really needs to get laid." Grins. "If she did get laid I don't think she'd be so uptight about someone like you touching her."
Stray nodded to Harmony as she was going to see it through with Catherine. However, it would seem that was not needed as Captain Meinard approached to speak with Catherine. Stray and Chaos left fairly early into the conversation between the two. Stray knew it not their place to listen in. Stray hoped that Harmony would follow and if she did he'd talk to her about Mika.
"So you're going to tell Harmony more about Mika? I thought you said everything there needed to be said about her a long time ago." Chaos looked at Stray. He knew Mika still haunted them both. It was why Chaos lived his life the way he did. Live it up. He still held his responsibilities, but he didn't want to miss anything either by not having fun.
"I am. And I think you should come as well. You know Mika's killer was found dead, but not how or by whom or what. I do." Stray looked at Chaos. He had hid this secret from Chaos as well all these years. Stray had figured that if he had ever said anything to anyone, he would have been in huge trouble. He didn't allow 'justice' to take its course. That was why he wanted to join the military though. To learn discipline. And to try to forget about what he had done. He doubted the Captain fully knew the story about Mika as well. In their files it stated they had a younger sister that was raped and killed. That the killer was also found dead late the same night.

Harmony Adams
Harmony was surprised when Catherine mentioned that she was the only one here that had shown her true kindness. Harmony did not get a chance to respond when she saw that Captain Freudenberger came into their direct line of travel. She noticed quickly that she had been dismissed and gave Catherine a reluctant glance and obeyed. She sighed ran her hand through her hair and decided to follow the twins. Thought they seemed to have gained more of a head start than she realized. She also noticed that they seemed to be talking to themselves and decided to give them the oppertunity to do so. Making sure to keep them both in sight. _____________________________________________________________
________----------------------------Alexander Essex
"What Can I say Cain, I like to see them run around like chickens with their head cut off " Alex responded with a slight pout . "I know that I have issues, that's why I'm here, but that does not mean I wish to change either. " With a shrug he started to eat again and barely managed to keep from doing a spit take when Cain mentioned him groping Catherine's breast. He sighed, Of course he realized what I did. At least he is not an over protective brother...
Then processed what Cain said and decided at first that it was best to take another bite and not comment. He could understand that it was not the same for women and men, when it came to their sexual activities. Elizabeth the one exception to the rule, he did not find very many noble women were as willing to sleep around as men. Especially since the risk for them was so much more life affecting. A male could sire a bastard child and receive nothing more than a slap on the wrist. Females, if they were lucky were forced into marriage before the child shows, otherwise parents more often than not disowned or murdered their children.
"What you say may be true, but I touched the untouched woman, and now I have hell to pay I am sure." He sighed and smiled. "i am glad though, that you think there are worse men then me that could touch your sister."

As Amelia looked about the room he smiled , when she reached the picture of his old unit his expression became more serious "That is a sketch of my unit upon our forming shortly after basic training, the dates are the day they fell in combat. This picture represents a time when we were all so innocent and full of hope." he said after she turned to look at him, "This is the life I live, you learn to appreciate the here and now because the future is always uncertain. Always remember those who went before you as you will meet them again when you leave this world." he added allowing a strained smile to emerge.
Once she commented on his room he chuckled "Thank you, i know it's likely not up to noble standards but I call it home." he said as he closed the outer door, "Feel free to straighten up if you must just don't throw anything out please." he added as he moved to take a bottle from behind one of the shields. "I keep this hidden because if any of the other officer found out about it, well, it wouldn't be here for long." he said as he set it down on a small table, "So please don't let anyone know about my little stash please." he added in a pleasant tone. "I'll give you a bit to settle in then I'll share my wine with you." he said with a warm smile, "It's brewed by a local farmer using the same recipe as the noble houses drink, so you should find it a pleasant first." he added with a nod.
After stepping into his office to allow her time to unpack he sat and read through the file again, it never failed to amaze him how the generals could give you a two page order and tell you nothing useful. After fifteen or so minutes he set the file down and stood up from his seat, with a sigh he prepared to follow through with the second part of his promise to Lady Amelia.

Who Am I Really? Markus sat up straighter when Henry smacked his back, letting it pass as the other man took off with the idea he suggested. A maiden…A knight…White horse…Markus chewed as loudly as he could to not hear everything, but it didn’t work. Children read such stories to go to bed at night…Fully grown men should not be using such childish imaginative thinking as if it would help them gain the woman they desired. Lady Catherine was no poor maiden when she’s currently in a base protected by soldiers bound by law to serve her until their dying breath. Pawns were all they really were, and Henry was one of them as well…
His dark blue eyes looked over at Henry when it came to the more realistic remark that he made. Lady Catherine should be in the dining hall if she intended to eat anything, but as he looked around a bit more he couldn’t see any other royals eating either…He did, however, see a few soldiers looking his way as if he were prey. The vision of being ganged up and attacked came to Markus’ mind, but only for a moment when his knight instincts kicked in. Yes, that was right. The real knight in Henry’s tale was not him, but instead it was Markus. And the only damsel in distress that Markus could see that needed saving was Henry’s mind that was only fixated on getting to Lady Catherine. “Perhaps she is locked away in a high tower waiting for her knight to come to her aid.” He joked in a serious tone before he took a bite of his food. “Or she could be on her way to leaving this camp after being assaulted. She is too…How did you say it? Pure hearted? Right, she’s too pure hearted to stay in a place full of horny men looking to attack her. I’m sure that’s what she’s thinking at this moment. Although, who knows for sure what the young lady will do?” He questioned with a shrug before eating another bite.
Lena Komarine He left her. Lena didn’t even have time to frown at him as he briskly left his own office and told her not to eat his food. Like she would do such a thing…Her eyes wandered to his tray of food before she picked up another piece of bread to stuff in her face. Lena was by no means an emotional eater, but rather she was a hungry woman on mission that didn’t appreciate it when her target told her to leave or stay based on his mood. She leaned back in the chair she was now going to claim as hers, one leg moving over the other as she crossed her arms under her chest and proceeded to pout.
After about five minutes of throwing an internal tantrum, Lena relaxed and began taking in the sights of Meinard’s office before she decided the man needed more personal items in it. There was nothing but piles of paperwork, books that were most likely about war tactics or the numbers for how many soldiers were leaving the base, but there was nothing in the office that told Lena anything about him…She closed her eyes and sighed before standing up and beginning to pace the room as she debated how long a woman should wait for a man to return. She supposed that men often waited ten times longer than they cared for when waiting on a woman, so she busied herself with pulling out a stray string from her jacket, combing her fingers through her hair, and polishing a spot off the brass part of her sword.
When the Captain finally returned, Lena was just done with getting the spot out. She wanted to make a smart comment to him, but when he apologized for taking so long while he ate, Lena found it difficult to stay annoyed with the wait. “I’ve noticed…” She sympathized before leaning forward to his desk to prop her head up with her elbow as she watched him eat. “Captain…” She said softly as her smile came back to her lips. “I would very much like to hear about all your reworkings. I feel left out of loop after being gone for so long. You had an entourage of nobles with bad attitudes, a scandalous lady who has already become gossip among the soldiers, and a marriage proposal all within a short time. Perhaps I shouldn’t have been sent away.” She said, keeping her face at a humorous expression despite the frustrations she felt deep within.

Lena Komarine She knew she wasn’t the only one with frustrations, especially what some would call minor in the bigger picture. Getting a man to fall madly in love with her wasn’t something minor to Lena though as she leaned away from Meinard’s desk as he opened up to her. It was rare…Very rare, actually, to hear her Captain complain at all. He was the type to hold it in and keep it to himself, not letting others see how much he had to deal with. Of course, from what Lena had gather, the past few days were especially overwhelming. Now she was hearing everything directly from the Captain himself, and she felt her heart swell in admiration for all that he was enduring.
When he spoke about the marriage proposal, Lena felt a weight leave her shoulders and her hatred for one Lady Elizabeth go down as her smiled brightened a little as he explained his reasoning for not marrying her. She nodded her head in agreement to his words before putting on a more solemn expression while he continued to speak. She could feel his anger as he talked about being berated and questioned, having to deal with nobles who liked to sexually harass others, and unable to properly punish any of them. She agreed with him that she was lucky to not be a Captain, especially in this horrible position where one is stuck and unable to do anything that they want to.
He continued to go on and on, talking more than Lena had ever experienced before. He rarely spoke so much even to the new recruits. Still, despite how much she was loving this experience, she had to remind herself that what he was talking about wasn’t anything that would give Lena a chance to use to get closer to him. She found herself looking down at his tray as he began talking about the few nobles that weren’t terrible. It was empty now before he had sent a carrier pigeon to who knows where. She hadn’t even noticed he was eating, and found it rather fascinating that he was able to talk so much and eat at the same time.
When he said he didn’t know what to do, Lena’s eyes flicked back up to Meinard with compassion in them. She wanted to help, wanted offer advice, but she knew that any suggestion she had wouldn’t be of any use. Meinard just needed time to think on his own, to analyze and find his own way of dealing with the royals. Besides, it wasn’t as if Lena had any personal experience dealing with royals anyways. She wouldn’t be very useful in that sense, nor would she be sleeping with any noblemen…The thought distracted her from Meinard for a moment as he picked up her report and read it. By the time she focused back on him, he was looking at her differently than before and asking a question she didn’t understand for a moment. Then things clicked into place, and her chessboard was out.
“I made an impression.” She said simply while leaning back in her chair. He had found that note rather quickly, but Lena didn’t have time to feel happy about that as she looked away. “I was there for a little over a week to build relations. I ended up getting to know the Captain, and he seemed rather fond of what I could do. That’s all.” She stated, her gaze returning to Meinard as her hands pressed against her knees as she leaned towards his desk. “It’s your decision though since you’re my Captain.” She gave a nod to her words before looking down at her report. She reached a hand over and tapped the report to draw his attention to it. “Did you see where I noted their garden area? It’s far larger than ours and is used a form of training for the new recruits when it comes to patience training. I was thinking we could do that to some of the soldiers who are a bit unruly. Even if it doesn’t work, we’ll have lots of fresh vegetables for the chef.” She said, testing to see if he was truly bothered with her catching interest from another captain or not.

Harmony Adams
Harmony was shocked when she saw the soldier approach her. She was more shocked when she was informed by the soldier to escort Lady Catherine to the female Barracks and help move her stuff and settle her in. Harmony bit back a frustrated sigh, realizing that she would not be expected or asked to do this with out good reason. She looked at the twins ahead of her and ruffled her hand through her hair. "Stray, I know you wanted to talk... But I should take care of this... Could I come find you afterwards?" She asked calmly. She did not want to hurt his feelings but from the way Oliver spoke she did not have much say in the matter. " It shouldn't take too long..." " And yes, Oliver, If Catherine does not object I would greatly appreciate what help you could give." She answered in turn. She gave an encouraging smile to the twins. She didn't voice it, but if it took them past the curfew she would stay up and talk to Stray. This was one of those matters, that she would have no issue taking the punishment she might receive if it would help them. She hoped that Stray would understand that as well.

"It's all right, Harmony. I'll be in my room when you're free. I'm just glad that Catherine is going to stay." Stray smilled. He understood. "If you need more help just let us know." Stray then saw Chaos motion him. Chaos told Stray that they had to help clean the dishes so they would. Stray and Chaos headed into the kitchen to help start cleaning the dishes and do a few other things that the chef would ask of them.
Amelia frowned when Thomas informed her of the picture. The soldiers really did give their lives for them. Not that she questioned it, but in a way she just didn't believe it. She wished she knew something she could say, but did not know what. She never had to think about this before. All she ever thought was her fashion, looking well and Clovis. "I...am sorry for your losses, Thomas. I...I wish I knew what else to say." Instead she walked over to Thomas and hugged him. Maybe it wasn't exactly the right thing to do, but she knew when a loved one passed on hugs where often given.
"I will not throw out anything unless I get the okay from you." Amelia smiled a bit, glad that he would allow her to clean the room up some. She grinned when he took out the bottle behind a shield. "Of course I wont tell anyone. Our little secret." She smiled. She had no idea what it meant that it was brewed by the same farmer as the ones for the nobles. Amelia nodded to him when he mentioned he'd give her time to settle in. She unpacked her things in one of the dresser drawers. She took out her nightgown that she wore for sleeping and moved that to on top of the bed. Amelia saw Thomas get up and she grinned. "So this means it's time to drink right?"
Cain chuckled when Alex mentioend he liked seeing them run around with their heads chopped off. He then shrugged. "We all have issues, but like you, I'd be damned if I'm going to change. I like who I am and that's what really matters, right? I mean I have plenty of friends back home."
"My sister is called the untouched woman?" Cain started bursting out laughing. "Well I suppose but be proud of yourself damn it! I mean you touched her!" He found it all amusing. He didn't want Alex to get disiplined for it. For christs sake she was a woman and well she should have been thankful that Alex touched her in such a way.

As Amelia hugged him he reluctantly allowed it “Thank you Amelia, It means a lot that others are willing to appreciate the price they paid. I know they would rest easy with even one noble remembering them.” he said in a calm even tone, “You may also find if interesting that one of them, Tabatha, was the second cousin of a noble family. She never did tell me which one no matter how many times I asked.” he added as he looked down at her with a thin smile. Once she had released him he stepped back and smiled and nodded as she commented on cleaning up before she turned his attention to the wine “Good, quality wine is a rarity here. I imagine the noble houses wouldn't be very happy to know that a farmer managed to intercept what they consider and an exclusive formula and made use of it either, so lets keep that quiet as well OK?” he said with a slight chuckle before letting her unpack.
Once he stood after reading the file again he chuckled at her enthusiasm “It is indeed Lady Amelia, let me grab a two clean cups and I'll be right there.” he said as he moved towards a cabinet in his office before stepping back into the other room, “Sip it slow, it's a somewhat potent brew.” he added as he opened the bottle and filled two metal cups before handing one to her. As he took a sip of his stashed wine he allowed himself to relax a bit “A bit of the grape never fails to take the edge off, just don't have to much or you'll hate yourself the next day.” he said with a half serious tone.

"I wont tell anyone that you have this wine. I wouldn't want the farmer to get into trouble." Amelia smiled as she watched Thomas pour two glasses of the wine. She slowly took her metal cup and brought it to her nose. She sniffed the wine first which she found had a rather pleasant smell. She then brought it to her lips taking a first small sip. She liked it. Her face lit up as she took another sip, this time larger. "And I wont drink too much." She smiled. "Though what happens if you do?" She tilted her head to the side as she thought about it. Then she took another sip. She really was liking the taste of the wine. "This is really good!" She could not believe she had never had this before. Part of her was more angry with her parents for keeping such a fine drink away from her all these years. Did they honestly think she would not be able to handle it?
