Chaos placed a hand on his hip as Clovis was trying to call him out on how his parents weren't doing this for his health. This kid had a lot of anger. Uh oh, apparently Chaos just said something wrong. He thought a moment on what he had said but Amelia and Clovis already were making sure he was at fault. "Ah, look, I didn't mean anything by it. Look, I just call it as I see it. I'm honest." He shrugged. Amelia was angry. It seemed she had to get a thicker skin if his simple words of truth upset her this much. He watched as Clovis spoke to Amelia, as if to protect her. In a lot of ways they reminded him of Stray and himself when they were a lot younger. Them against the world, but not in the way they were seeing it. Chaos tilted his head. Did this kid seriously just get up in his face? "Look, to the both of ya. Nobody is out to get you. It's in your heads. We're here to help you." Chaos rubbed the back of his head as he looked up over at Lt. Thomas. Chaos shrugged. "What he said." He paused a moment wondering if there was anything else he should say. If that perhaps Stray would have added anything. "Let's get back to work, Clovis. Let's go for that jog." He smiled a bit hoping that things would go back to the way they were before Amelia came over.
Amelia was glad to know her brother had her back. At least he was getting into Chaos' face. What a jerk! Her eyes went back over to Thomas. "Bull! You will all be working for my brother one day. Why don't you all just start listening to him now!" Amelia glarred at Thomas. Her eyes still stung with the tears from earlier of Chaos' words. She then bit her lower lip. Then the tears started to fall. "Why...why us, brother?" She shifted her gaze to Clovis. She walked over to her brother and then gave him a hug, burying her head in his shoulder. It wasn't fair. As long as she was going to be here, it wasn't going to be fair. All she wanted in life was just to keep having fun with her fashion sense. All those beautiful outfits designed just for her.
Cain had gotten changed like he was ordered to. Honestly so far this wasn't that bad. He knew soldiers liked to gamble and if you were lucky there were plenty to screw. Of course the main person he cared about having sex with was Elizabeth. He had heard the rumors about her and often dreamt of how she was like in bed. With the gambling of the soldiers and hopefully the sex of Elizabeth this stay might not be that bad. He already knew how to use a weapon and thought himself to be fairly fit. He had no idea why he was here and could only imagine it was more for the fact that he had to watch over his sister.
After Cain changed he walked back out to the courtyard. He could see his sister, it seemed she was paired off with a female soldier. He arched a brow surprised that they would even allow female soldiers to train a royal. He looked around until he heard Henry again. "Ah, welcome back, Sir Eaton." The corners of Cain's lips slowly turned into a smirk. "I would love to begin weapon training. Though I think I already excel with my blade." He patted the blade the lay on his side in a sheath.
Stray's head hurt. This woman was too smart for her own good. She was smart in the cocky way. He hated people like that. Stray wanted to rub his temples, but he didn't want to give Elizabeth the pleasure of knowing he was starting to get annoyed with her. "You will do the course again. As your trainer, that is your order. You will run it the right way this time." Stray studied her when she spoke again abou how he couldn't physically force her to do anything. Of course he couldn't. He'd never lay his hand on a woman, royal or not. Stray cleared his throat when he thought he had misheard Elizabeth. The arrangment she wanted was his 'sword'. Of course he knew what it meant. Chaos had joked about his 'sword' all the time with the other soldiers. "Is sex really all you can think about, Elizabeth?" He shook his head.
"You will not be awarded sex for doing good things. If you do not do what is asked of you, you will be punished. Spending your nights out in the horse stables. On the hay. You'll be peeling potatoes. Or you'll be scrubbing the floors with a small brush. Do I make myself clear?" Stray had heard a slight commotion with his brother, but he could not worry about Chaos now. He was too caught up with his own noble. One that clearly was going to give him headache after headache. He would make sure tonight that he foudn Chaos' hidden stash of booze and drink a bit.

Markus [Estellé] Barret Markus wished he could express the guilt he was feeling inside for how he addressed the Captain, no where near happy with how he was letting himself appear to be. His stomach churned as Captain Freudenberger gave him a simple and to the point run down of how things were going to happen. The tasks were no problem, and Markus simply allowed a frown to grace his face as a soldier went off to fetch a soldier who would be his trainer. As he waited, Markus tugged at his gloves, not letting his nervous behavior show through as he played off being arrogant.
When the soldier that would be his trainer arrived, Markus looked over at him and his face of annoyance disappeared. The man standing before him was tall and lean, but his face reminded him of the one man he never wanted to be away from. Markus had to forcefully make himself look away, his gaze meeting the Captain. “I think we’re done now, right? This is the trainer, and I’m obviously behind on lunch.” He said, hoping the Captain wouldn’t hate him for his horrid way of talking. He turned back to the soldier before walking pass him to step outside.
He acted like he was being impatient as he waited a moment for the soldier to follow. “Should I…” He started before looking at the man once again. Why was it he looked so much like the man he was infatuated with? It was becoming extremely hard to even look at the soldier with a glare on his face, so he looked away. “Could you show me around this place? I have a tendency to not remember little things like where is where, but seeing as how I’m being forced to survive, I should know where the important places are.” He said, his gaze unable to meet the soldier’s. This was proving to be a more difficult mission than he intended it to be.

Harmony Adams
Disorganized. Yes. Harmony seemed to agree that this seemed rather unorganized in for something that required as much planning as what seemed to be put into it. She understood why there would be the need for some flexibility, especially if mentor and ment-ee really did not seem to get along, but things did seem almost too lax. She didn't know how to respond though. she knew that part of this could be because the soldiers wanted to make things rougher than they need to be for the less than cooperative nobles.
"I cannot really find an appropriate comment for that," she finally responded and sighed. "I am limited by the chain of command, but I will not deny that you have a point." She spoke slowly. "Organization poor or not, I'm here and I have been given orders by those above me." Her words were careful, she did not know who she could trust in this court yard, even Lady Catherine, whom seemed more pleasant than she expected and likely than more pleasant than most.
"I can say that the nobles are not the only ones reluctant to be here though." She once again spoke bluntly. She knew that as people struggled to gain the upper hand things were going to be very chaotic. "Things are likely not to be very organized until the battle for dominance has been won."
The she heard the ruckus from across the yard and looked towards the source. She was surprised to see the Noble woman Elizabeth yelling at the top of her lungs before storming off. Harmony couldn't help but feel a little bad for Stray, but did not think it was wise to interfere. He would need to make his own peace with the noble woman if he could.
"Have you decided? Laps or course?" She spoke calmly turning her gaze back to Catherine. Her point she felt was greatly proven. "We have a task to do..."

Stray just stood as Elizabeth went off on him. He could feel the eyes of everyone in the courtyard and then some stare at them. Stray no longer got embarassed. Chaos had done enough shit throughout the years that Stray just no longer cared when it came to embarassment. If Stray was in the mood to hold the conversation, or if Chaos had been standing next to him, Chaos would have been the one to say what Stray was already thinking. Yes, Elizabeth was one of the few woman Stray had seen naked. Stray never went out of his way to see women naked. He didn't care about sex or how a woman looked. At least it cleared up the thought that he and her had slept together earlier. The way she spoke saying how he'd be lucky to even touch a hair on her head should have been enough to clear anything up. Stray was certain that many knew that he was a virgin, and that was thanks to the help of Chaos two years ago. Since then soldiers tried to get Stray laid, but he just did not care to. It was only recently, maybe eight months, that they stopped trying so hard. Stray wouldn't budge on wanting to sleep with someone. His values held high that one should only sleep with their lover, their partner, when they were married.
Stray continued to stand as she still went off on him. How he was a half-witted idiot. Empty threats. Stray closed his eyes as he thought. Chaos would know that this was a sign that Dark Stray was just on the brink of coming out. Stary usually calm and strict was one thing, Dark Stray on the other hand, was beyond serious and always made sure things got done. It was how he faught and how he was able to catch the slightest movement from his opponents and dodge before they even finished their attack. She was a woman, and Stray would never think about hurting a woman. However, he was told to see her as a new recruit as well. Noble or not, he had been assigned a task that he would not fail. No, Stray hated to fail.
Stray opened his eyes and ran ahead of her, blocking Elizabeth from moving forward. He was done playing himself. He grabbed Elizabeth's wrist and started to force her, perhaps even drag her, away towards the horse stables. "I will not be playing games with you, Elizabeth. You are not a noble here. You are a new recruit. You will be cleaning horse manure, by yourself, right now." He was not amused in the least by how Elizabeth had reacted. He didn't care if she'd scream or cry. He wasn't doing anything to hurt her, just grabbing her wrist, perhaps a bit more firmly than he should be.
Chaos couldn't help but smirk a bit when Clovis mentioned that he knew that they probably thought of some pig jokes for him. Of course he had! He wasn't sure if Thomas did or didn't, he really didn't care. "You bet I did, Porky!" He was just having fun now. He wasn't one to take things seriously unless he really had to. Seeing how Clovis was like this, it only urged Chaos to act like he was. "If you lose weight by yourself you're going to just hurt yourself, Porkster. You don't even know the first thing to being healthy, do ya?" Chaos walked over to Amelia and Clovis. "Thomas, can you take Amelia away." Chaos shrugged a bit with his hands up and shaking his head. He then stopped when he turned to look over at Stray and Elizabeth. He bursted out laughing. Poor Stray! Maybe if Stray would just ease up things would go smoother...wait he wasn't easing up. Oh boy. No time for fun, Dark Stray was out. That was when Chaos often got beaten up by Stray if Chaos hadn't already started the fist fights with him.
Chaos was just glad that he wasn't near Stray at the moment. He was sure Stray would have started taking of Clovis as well, making Chaos look like an idiot. "You will not be jogging with your sister, Clovis. That is not advised. If you start showing to me that you are actually here to do these tasks, in a weeks time I don't see why we couldn't partner you up with your sister for a few things. However, not before then." Chaos raised his hand and pointed up his index finger shaking it when he spoke about them not partnering up yet. "Now come on," He put his arm around Clovis as if they were best buds. "Now you and me, let's go for that jog." Chaos wasn't trying to piss Clovis off more, he was just acting like his typical self.
Cain nodded his head when Henry mentioned just to call him Henry. He raised a brow when Elizabeth started to tell the red haired man off. Cain could not help it but laugh. "Ha! Poor sap! He just doesn't know how to treat the lovely Elizabeth." He grinned finding it all too amusing. However, he then see Stray grab Elizabeth's arm and start to drag her away. "Wow, he's kind of an ass." He frowned. He didn't think that any soldier here would handle a noble like that, but it was clear that they were given orders to train them. Cain scratched his head, debating what to do here. Why couldn't he just be playing poker right now? "Think we should go see what's going on with them?" Cain had known Henry for a few years now. He didn't talk a lot to him, but he knew of him. They always held short conversations. Still, Cain didn't want to end up being manhandled by any guy.
Amelia frowned when Clovis mentioned that he was lied to, to be here. She wasn't lied to. She was told her brother was already here, which made her in a slight panic. She was told she needed to go as well, but she was somewhat willing since she wanted to be by Clovis. This was probably the only way that she'd have come though. Amelia lit up a little though when Clovis said they would do this together. That they would go on the job, not them. She liked that idea, but it would seem that, the red haired man, did not like the idea. He tried to shoo her back to Thomas. Amelia looked over at Thomas, curious to see what he would say. She gave him a death glare to perhaps persude him that he better think about his answer.

"Lady Aston, I know that you want to return to your own world. But if changes are not made the that world may crumble away." He said quietly, "Events are in motion beyond the border of this kingdom that will have a terrible effect upon commoner and noble alike, if you care for your brother and your family then things must change." he added as he stepped towards her. "I'm sorry that I'm forced to to play the villian in this, but stregnth lies in disipline and if you would only apply your deteremination to fight against me to trying to meet me halfway on this then it won't have to be nearly as rough." he said calmly before looking to Chaos, "If they both cooperate would you see a problem in allowing them to spend time together?" he asked before turning his gaze back to Amelia.
After allowing them a moment he sighed "If you work with me them you'll be able to return to your own world once both our superiors are happy, often we all must pay a price for the things we love at some point." he said as he allowed his thoughts to drift to the many frinds who died paying that very price, "Spend some time with your brother but promise me you'll allow me to speak with you later, I will tell you more about those events I refered to earlier. Once you hear what I have to say I hope you will be more willing to allow me to to teach you." he added realizing that this was the only way.

Chaos tilted his head as he watched Clovis and then all of a sudden, his foot was stomped on. Chaos' eyes widen as he pulled his foot away from Clovis and picked it up. He could have sworn the little royal bastard just flattened his foot! Chaos cursed a bit until the pain started to go away. "You little fat bastard!" He put his foot back on the ground as his foot still throbbed a bit. Chaos gritted his teeth just about to go on letting his anger be unleashed towards porky. Chaos crossed his arms as he looked over at Thomas. How could he be so collective! How dare he be this calm! It was as if Stray was here, but Stray would have countered with some bullshit by now.
Amelia was ready to go with her brother for that jog, when Thomas spoke up. She tilted her head, she had to admit she was curious as to know what these 'things' where. What hadn't she known about the world that her parents and bloody servants where hiding. She looked over at Clovis and back at the two soldiers. "Allow my brother and I to work together and we will do what we must to survive this little 'boot camp'." Her eyes fixated on the red haired man, the one who seemed to be causing all this trouple more so than Thomas was.
Chaos gritted his teeth and nodded his head. "Fine. The two of you go jog two miles. Thomas, if I can ask you, watch Clovis too. I need to cool off." With that, Chaos walked over to his twin. He was there just in time to listen to Elizabeth tell Stray he was in trouble. Chaos frowned and wondered just what had happened. He'd have to talk to Elizabeth later and treat her the way he was going to last evening. Maybe that would get her spirits back into trusting his brother. Then Henry walked over and calmed things down with Elizabeth. Smart man it would seem. On first apperances, Chaos was liking Henry. He wasn't as strict as Stray was and he could respect a fellow soldier, especially one with a title, that was laidback to an extent.
Stray cursed in his head about this woman. She may be a noble but damn it, she had no idea where her place really should be. If she wanted to act like such a prissy bitch whore, than she should be working the corners in the villages. Stray eyed the whore as she walked over to Cain. He shifted his gaze which still was quite...dark and serious to Henry. "She is worse than a she-devil. I am not one to call names, that's what my brother does." He looked over to Chaos briefly.
Before Stray could even say another word Chaos chimmed in. "She's a whore." He shrugged. "But damn it, she's a beautiful whore and one I'd love to sleep with." This man clearly often thought with his dick over his actual head. He saw the look Stray was giving and quickly took a step to the side so Stray couldn't hit him. "Sorry, continue." He grinned. Of course he wasn't really sorry.
Stray shook his head at Chaos. "Thank you, Henry, for defusing the situation. You're right, I was at fault." Finally Stray seemed to calm down and the Dark side of him left just as quickly as it had arrived. "Yes, giving time to cool off would be a good idea."
Cain nodded his head to Elizabeth's suggestion. He really had no idea where the dining hall was either. After all he had just arrived earlier that day. Which meant, it would be fun to go find a random, empty room and go have some quick casual sex. At least that was what he was understanding. "It looks like you could use a bit of the correct fun." Cain smirked. As far as Cain was concerned, this place was just a daycare for the nobles. He was going to make the best of it one way or the other. Let alone he was NOT going to take it serious here at all. Why should he? He was the Golden Boy after all. "I think we can try to find the dining hall, but wind up where I can loosen up your muscles the correct way a noble should have their muscles loosened." He started to lead the way to wherever he was going. Of course he would stop at the first room that seemed empty and duck inside with her.

Thomas nodded to Chaos "Alright, go and cool down. I'll keep an eye on them." he said evenly before moving to easily keep pace with them as they jogged, keeping a moderate distance from the pair as the jogged along the circuit. As Amelia and Clovis jogged he smiled, It seemed that he had begun with the wrong method. Perhaps the truth will serve him better.
As they finished their run he smiled "Very good, you both did well. Now we should get to the dining hall, after a good run you need a healthy meal to keep your energy up." he said in an even tone, "I'll show you the way there, it's not far from here." he added as he turned to head towards the hall.

Harmony Adams
Harmony sighed, of course. Aerobic, exercise, not anaerobic. What was she thinking she muttered and slapped her face. "I am sorry, my brain does not seem to be as sharp as it normally is." she muttered. She was far more mixed up about matters than normal it was likely due to the chaos of the environment that she was in. "You did mention that, and I am sorry, would you be willing to jog to the may go grab something to eat? If not, we can walk, you have earned it. "
She paused. "You know, I have seen combat but what I have seen is minimal. Most my knowledge comes from the fact that I have hunted since I was thirteen years old. You would be surprised how much human and animal behavior mirror one another." She muttered.Normally she would curb her tongue, that statement had offended many that were not royal, and she was speaking so candidly in front of someone who was raised her family lineage was superior to others. "My title, comes from many years of hard work, work that could not go unrecognized, but many men are reluctant to put a woman in places of high risk." she muttered explaining as to why she less experienced than it seemed... Her instincts told her this woman valued honesty. "Often my skills are not put to use unless it it absolutely necessary."
Harmony often wondered if she was ordered to come here for the same reasons. She would not be expected to fight, unless necessary... to defend the noble children. But she thought that maybe it was it was because she was also a woman and half the trainees would share her gender. There were many more soldiers that were more skilled than her, she would admit, and her being sent was something that crept in her mind quite often.
"While we eat we can discuss finding you an adequate weapon and what type of fight style you would be interested in learning?" She smiled slightly, hoping this woman would be willing to forgive her errors.
[sorry. I really did mix up the two forms of exercise. ^^']

Markus [Estellé] Barret Markus kept his gaze away from Joshua, unable to find the strength to lie to the man as he asked for his name in the utmost polite way. Really, any other knight would have no problem with this task. They would act like a completely stubborn kid who was spoiled, and indulge themselves in the luxury of what royalty gave them, but that was not how Markus was raised in the royal household. “My name is Markus Barret, and it’s…a pleasure to meet you.” He said, giving in to his nicer nature. “You can simply address me as Markus…May I ask, are you by chance related to the Eaton household?” He suddenly asked, wondering if that was why Joshua so closely resembled Henry. Perhaps the two were cousins of some sort.
However, before Markus could indulge for long in the company of Joshua, all the royals and trainers were called into the courtyard to meet. They were lined up and then the Captain began switching things up. Markus didn’t mind who he was paired up with since hard work and labor would be easy enough things to train in for him, but he was worried about how much he would have to pretend to be a spoiled brat. His eyes wandered to the prince and princess, the two reasons he was standing there now. He was fixated on them until he heard his name being called out and the announcement made that he would be paired with Henry.
Markus’ eyes widened before he looked over at Henry. There was actually one person he did not want to be paired up with, and Henry was the one. In truth, the two have known one another for years. They met when they were children, of course after Markus’ father began his training for knighthood, and the two young boys hit it off. As they grew older, they stayed in touch. If anyone were to be called a friend by Markus, Henry would be the only one…However, Henry knew that Markus was a knight and not some bratty royal. Perhaps Markus could make this work out for the best…After all, it had been a long time since the two spoke as well.
When he stepped over to Henry, Markus gave the other man a slight nudge with his elbow as the Captain went on with his lecture about what he would do to those that misbehaved. When they were dismissed, he quickly turned to Henry with a frown. “I’m undercover.” He started out rather bluntly before tugging at his gloves. “I’ve been sent by the king to watch his children…Since I’m an actual royal, I was supposed to fit right in, so…please don’t give my secret away.” He begged Henry quietly, his long eyelashes fluttered like they normally did when he stared at the ground and pleaded with Henry over something. In their relationship, Henry was of course the more respected one that Markus ‘admired.’

The twins of course sat with each other for their lunch. Chaos vented to Stray about how much Clovis was a pain. However, surprising to Stray, Chaos did say he could have the drive to actually do well in this. Stray did not mention much of Elizabeth. He knew better than to bad mouth others. Didn't mean he couldn't think of it though. The twins seemed to be having a fairly good lunch together and even chuckled from time to time. Perhaps it was more Chaos that laughed and came off a bit too 'loud' as normal but that was nothing new.
Stray and Chaos lined up in front of Meinard when he called for them. Stray stood next to Eliabeth and Chaos next to Clovis. Then the Captain started tos peak. Stray, of course, was glad that he would not have to deal with Elizabeth any longer, but at the same time, it meant he failed. However, knowing that the Captain was going to be taking Elizabeth himself, meant though that yes, Stray did fail, there was no other here that coudl take her. Still, it was a mixed feeling. Cain on the other hand, Stray knew he was a lot better than Elizabeth. Cain was spoiled, but a different kind of spoiled than what the royal children where. Cain enjoyed the 'high life' so to speak. Gambling, women, drinks. At least from what he knew, Cain was not a sex addict like Elizabeth was. Stray watched as Cain walked over to Stray, both silent still until the Captain finished.
Chaos frowned knowing that Clovis and he where no longer partners. Sure he was pissed at the spoiled brat for stomping on his foot, but he didn't mind him. Chaos awaited for him to hear who he would be training, but he didn't get anyone. Uh-oh. Did that mean he was off this assignment? Oh hell no! He'd go help Stray if he had to. Chaos tilted his head when the Captain whistled and gathered everyone's attention. Chaos arched a brow when he watched Meinard break the soldiers arms. "Hey! That wasn't called for!" Chaos didn't care that he just stepped out of line. "They were just helping a woman! No harm in that!" Chaos locked his gaze with Meinard.
Stray quickly moved from Cain to Chaos' side and pulled him back. He placed his hand on Chaos' shoulder. "Not, now." Stray spoke in Chaos' ear. Stray did not enjoy seeing the men get their arms broken either, but it was not his place to say. It did have to be done. If the soldiers were willing to do 'anything' for Elizabeth, she would never learn. Examples had to be made, no matter how much they sucked. He understood that.
Chaos gritted his teeth when Meinard spoke again about if any of them have sex with the nobility, they would be gone from here. He directly looked at Chaos too! If Stray hadn't quickly put his arm across Chaos, Chaos would have probably thrown a punch at Meinard. Bastard! What if the nobility agreed to it! What if they were asked to fuck them!? It wasn't right! "Bastard!" He kept his gaze on Meinard and then shoved Stray a bit as he turned to walk away. "Fucking high and mighty fucking know it all." He mumbled in earshot of the others still. It was quite clear, and known, that Chaos seemed to have a problem with authority. Stray follwed knowing he shouldn't, but he did. "Who the hell does he think he is!? He didn't even assign me a fucking noble either!"
Stray shook his head. "Chaos, just calm down. First of all, he's our Captain. What he says is law around here, you know that. You knew what we were getting into when we first joined the military. Secondly, I'm sure there is an understanding why you didn't get assigned." Stray knew he couldn't stay and talk for much longer. "Build up some merit with him, for once. Just go on and do your daily duties. I'm sure there are duties that have your name on them. If you don't want to do that, go talk to the Captain. One on one, but do NOT go in with your current attitude. You remember the last time when you threw a punch right?" The last time Chaos had done that was about a year ago now. Chaos wound up flipped and on the floor with a broken wrist.
Chaos sighed as he nodded. "Yea whatever. Go have fun with Cain." Chaos walked back over to Meinard, not heeding Stray's words. Of course he didn't. However, he wasn't going to throw a punch at least. He didn't want to end up with a broken wrist again. That had hurt. And he still had to manage to find a way to do his duties too. "Captain Meinard, what of me?" He had walked right up to the Captain, didn't bother to salute either. No matter how many times Chaos was punished, he still found a way to be that wild buck. Or perhaps he was just too stupid to actuall learn.
Stray walked back over to Cain. Cain introduced himself as Cain. "Stray. I will be strict, and I am not here to be your friend. You show me respect, and I will show you respect." It would be that simple. It usually was. As long as you did as told things where always easier. At least that is what he had learned very early on in the military. "We will be working on fighting without the use of a weapon. I know you have some experience with a weapon so I hope it would be a good assumption to say you have the basics in fighting as well." Stray saw Cain nod his head. "Good. You'll start throwing what you can at me, I'll block, until I state otherwise." He started to walk over to the spot that they would spar in.
Cain was a bit saddened to know that Henry was no longer his training partner. It sucked to say the least. The two got along fairly well, enough that Cain would probably consider him a friend in due time. Stray seemed to have a stick up his ass to say the least. For now though, he'd go ahead and play along for now. Maybe Stray was just strict like this during the day and at night, he was a partier. Perhaps he played poker and would like to gamble with him. "So, do you know how to play poker?" He choose to strike up a random conversation as he and Stray started to spar.
Amelia enjoyed her lunch with her brother. As much as it sucked that their time was limited. When they were called by the Captain, she stood next to Thomas, her arms folded across her chest. It would seem most would be switching trainers. However, she was still with Thomas. She had to admit though, she thought she could live with Thomas. There was no way she could have trained with either of the twins, wouldn't want to train with the Captain, and she also heard a bit about Henry and she just didn't like him. She choose to stay though until she found out whom her brother was going to be with. She saw that it seemed that he wasn't fully protesting so she suppose she could go. But she was annoyed and felt a bit hurt that he might have a 'friend' here. She was suppose to be his only friend here! She looked up at Thomas and then shrugged. "All right, why don't you tell me what you have to say." She wanted to just continue with this day. Get it over with. She already had been exhausted from jogging. She wasn't use to it, let alone jogging in her high heeled boots made it a bit difficult. Enough so that she actually did change to just boots without much of a heel right before lunch.

Thomas ate lunch as the larger than usual crowd filled the dining hall, he was enjoying the reaction from many of the new guest entertaining. Clearly the food was not up to royal standards. As the announcement about re-arranging many of the pairings began he smiled, In an odd way he enjoyed working with Amelia even if she was every bit as stubborn as he was.
Once the two pairing were released he looked over to her and nodded "Very well, lets find a place we can sit and talk." he said as they walked towards the exercise grounds, "Now then, what I'm about to tell you stays between us. It's an open secret of sorts, nearly all of the nobles and military staff know about it but do not speak of it." he added as he motioned for her to sit on a stone bench. "For many generations now the nobles and military have maintained and uneasy truce with the nations that surround our home land, though the current generation of nobles has fallen away from the way of old." he said in a quiet tone, "Our neighbors have come to learn this and now begin to make plans to prey on and weakness they find, I suspect the true purpose of this experiment is to restore the strength of older times." he added evenly. "Should we fail in this endeavor both noble and commoner could thrown in a war that will tear our country apart, for five generations my family has protected this land and I intend to continue that. Though I am willing to give my life if necessary I hope that return the nobles to the path of their ancestors will make that sacrifice unnecessary." he said in a sincere tone, "We should get you back to your exercise routine before I get us both in trouble." he added with a chuckle.

Harmony Adams
Lunch was calm. She was more than surprised when Catherine, even if it was in silence, decided to sit and eat next to her. She was noble and proud, but she did not seem to let her status affect her the same way. Harmony ate her meal in the same bitter silence, wondering if Catherine had been the one her father appealed to, would she had of valued his live to just a sack of gold coins and three years of torment wondering where their father had disappeared to. She knew it was foolish, Catherine was no where of age that it would of made a difference.
She finished her meal and then when Catherine had finished her own, brought her back to the courtyard and was prepared to start the next half of their day. The the captain interrupted them to once again place musical partners. She could not help, but feel a sense of relief when she was told to keep up what she was doing. She was quick to remove herself and Catherine from the situation that she expected people to complain.
They did not get much further than they did before when she heard the shrill whistle of the captain and she turned to give him her attention when she heard the sickening crack of the bones. A sound that she had and if she had her way, would never will have gotten use to. She watched him break the arms of the three men, and felt the bitter taste of bile raise in her mouth.
Now she was not stupid, by far, She understood the need to make an example. But it didn't sit with her right that he punished these men for the actions they did before he made it known that those actions would not be tolerated. Especially when they were put in a situation where they were not clear on which orders from the nobles they were to take and which ones they were not. It didn't help that one of the guards had followed with her and trained beside her when she first entered the royal army. She pinched the bridge of her nose and fought back the urge to let tears slip from her eyes. Using Catherine and her observational commentary as a method to ground herself.
"Lady Catherine, you are wise. You see things that others do not, but right now your thoughts are slightly misguided. Nothing gives the right to harm others, not even power. But people with power, often do not recognize it for they are ill prepared when they receive it." Her tone was soft, and she did not wish others would hear. Her words were just for the Noble woman. She did not realize how much her thoughts seemed to echo Catherine's.
"I do not believe you were brought here to gain power, that is something that you were already born in." she picked up a sword from where they were and held the heavy weapon in her hands and recalled the words the general who had caught her in the forest had told her six years ago. "You are hear to learn discipline." She looked at the noble woman a moment. "Something that you already seem to have a basic understanding of," she sighed, and shifted the weight of the blade between her hands. "But you must also learn how and when to use it." she muttered.
"These exercises will do just that. Look at a swordsman and his sword. Let the sword be the equivalence of power. A man with a sword has the advantage over the man that does not. But what if there were two men that have their blades. The one who would be ahead is the man that had spent the time to learn to use his sword, spent years going through his exercises and fighting mastering how to use it." She bit her lip and placed the blade back on the wall. "But just as important of knowing your blade, you must also spend time learning when to use it. It is a given, that the more skilled one would be advantageous, but what if the other one fought only to defend himself and or loved ones. It might be the wisest decision of the more skilled man to sheath his blade and walk away"
These were the words that had changed her life. This was the reasoning that had saved her life those years ago when she was caught hunting in the Kings forest. Words she had hopes of one day passing on and changing the life and or perspective of another. She hoped and felt that lady Catherine could understand what she was saying.
