Sophia Goldenheart
Sophia heard the chuckle and it just made her look even angrier, stupid demon! She was taken by surprise as he picked her up and shoved her against the wall, she tried to struggle against him. She spat in his face, she was ticked off that he thought he could do anything to her, she even tried to kick him where the sun doesn't shine. When he put her down and shoved her, she almost lost her balance, but seemed to recover just in time. Unfortunately, she was not ready when he took her and dragged her to her room, to have his way with her. It hurt so badly and she was sure she was bleeding some after. She looked at him as he left, her muscles aching and pleading for relief. Instead, she forced herself to her feet and started to walking out of her room and out of the cabin. It took every bit of strength she had to start limping through the forest. Every muscle protested, but she didn't care, she didn't want to be there anymore.
"I would rather die out here than for that to happen again,"she spoke quietly. She didn't really want to die, but she didn't want to be in that cabin anymore.

Devon had been asleep for about three hours. That was when he no longer could sleep due to the shadows loud gossip. He could usually ignore them, but when they wanted to be heard they kept on talking and got as loud as they could. "Would you shadows shut up." He mumbled as he slowly sat up in his bed, rubbing his head and giving a yawn. His ears finally picked up on what they were saying. "She ain't gone." He grumbled as he stood up and put on pants. He walked to her room and opened the door. Gone. "Fuck! Why the hell didn't you wake me up earlier!" He growled at the shadows, of course blaming them. He ran out the door and transformed into his talasa form. He did not take to the skies though. Being in this form would make it easier to keep the other monsters away from him. That and he could pick up on her scent easier through the wind.
Devon walked around and soon picked up on Sophia's scent and started to track her down. He had no idea how long she had been missing, though he doubted she got too far in the condition he had left her in. After about thirty minutes he was able to pick up his pace and find her. He stayed in his talasa form and walked over to her. He walked slowly as if he was an actual talasa. Though talasa's where actually very violent and often attacked any human or demon that was near them. Devon stopped when he was a foot or so away from her. He stretched out his neck and nuzzled Sophia's cheek. He decided instead of letting his anger get to him, he would give Sophia false hope. Let her think she was going to get out of this. And at the last moment he would take her back to the cabin.

Sophia Goldenheart
Sophia was in a lot of pain as she continued going through the woods, the noises making her hair stand up on end. She could feel the low hanging branches of the trees scratching at her and the bushes grabbing ahold of what was left of her dress. She wasn't sure how much further she was going, the only thing keeping her on the move was thoughts of homes and remembering what Devon had done to her. She wasn't going to allow him to do that to her again, she was going to get home. Unfortunately, after some walking, she had to stop and lean against a tree. She thought she saw movement and she felt her heart start to pound in her chest. When a talasa came into view, she froze, she knew how vicious these creatures were supposed to be. When it nuzzled her cheek, she wondered if what she had heard were just rumors or it sensed she needed help. She reached out cautiously and stroked its head.
"Good boy, I won't hurt you,"she said soothingly/

Devon Swirl Blackhart
Devon tilted his head as he let Sophia pet his head. He listened to hear, her voice was soothing, but he could still sense the fear that she held. He lowered himself to the ground and looked over at her. He should have been fully angry with her. He should have wanted to discipline the wretched girl, but there was something that he was uncertain of now. The way she looked, the calmness she had even if she was just put through hell. He didn't feel regret for what he had done hours ago to her, but there was a feeling he had not known he could feel. He had no idea what to call this emotion.
Devon sighed as he stood back up on all fours and then let his body shift back into his demon form. "Running away was quite stupid." Devon shook his head as he stood and looked over at her. "Come on, let's get you back to the cabin. Get you in some other outfit. Get cleaned up." Devon's aura and the way he talked weren't as aggressive.

Sophia Goldenheart
Sophia actually managed a small smile when the creature laid there a moment, maybe what she had heard about these creatures was not all true or at least had more to them than that. She watched him there for a moment, maybe with him here she would be safer from whatever else lurked in this forest. Then the creature changed into the demon and she groaned, preparing to fun away again. Then when he spoke without anger or any of his lip from earlier, she had second thoughts. She had just run away, she expected him to slap her again or do something to make her pay for running from him like that. Why wasn't he doing any of that?
"What did you expect me to do, stay there and get taken advantage of again?"she asked. She sighed though and nodded, she knew she wouldn't be able to get far anyway, not in the condition she was in.

Devon placed a hand on his forehead and shook his head. "Look, you caused me to do what I did to you. I..." He gritted his teeth and folded his arms. He was honestly trying not to get angry, but it was hard. When being angry was about the only emotion a demon really expressed, it was hard not to fall back to that. He shook his head. "Come on," He grabbed Sophia's wrist. "Let's head back to the cabin." He really did not mean to be so forceful again.
Devon ended up picking up Sophia and placing her on his back and carried her back to the cabin. "Look, if we can both just try to tolerate each other things will go smoothly. Since I'm not suppose to kill you I am sure that means the plans are to have you returned to your home at some point. You don't like me, and honestly I don't like you. Doesn't mean we have to hurt each other...I guess." He entered the cabin and placed her down on the couch. "Why don't ...I take a look at your injuries."

Sophia Goldenheart
Sophia snorted, there was a laugh, that she made him do it, that was a good one. She didn't asked to be hurt or for him to have his way with her. She had been upset before that because he had kidnapped her and taken her away from her home. When he started to pull her along, she growled, this guy seriously needed to learn some manners. She had been about to yell at him again when she felt him lift her up and carry her on his back. She was surprised, was he actually helping her? She heard what he said and sighed, maybe she could try to be a little nicer to him. If he was right and the plan was for her to go home soon enough, maybe she could just wait until then.
"Fine, I suppose I can play nice and not try to run away again. And umm..okay,"she spoke, caught off guard that he would look over her wounds.

Devon was glad to hear that Sophia would call a truce so to speak. At least for a little while. How long it lasted, who knew. Devon started to inspect her injuries. She had new ones due to the trees scraping her. "Nothing too serious," He mumbled as he walked over and grabbed some bandages before returned. He carefully wrapped up any wound. He had a little healing knowledge, but not enough that he trusted himself to use it on a human. He had used his own lightening skills to heal himself before but it burned him as well. He stood back up when he finished addressing her injuries.
Devon looked around trying to figure out what to say or even suggest they do. "I ah...look I am not good with humans. I think you can clearly see that." He did not look at her. He found it easier to be a bit calmer if he wasn't looking at her. "I don't know what humans do to pass the time, but if I can help with things, I guess I will." He mumbled the last bit. He had no idea what to do. The way she had looked out in the forest had been enough for him to realize he shouldn't do what he did hours ago. Though it did feel good to get his anger out. Perhaps it was misplaced anger. He was more upset with the Demon Lord but it wasn't like he could go over and hit him.

Sophia Goldenheart
Sophia was quiet as he started to take care of the wounds she had, glad none of them were serious ones. When he was done, she noticed he looked away and she wondered why. She heard him speaking and it was very clear to her that he wasn't very good with humans. She tried to think of something that they could do out here.
"Well, there are many things humans do for fun. We like to hunt, read, and talk, just to name a few. What do demons do for fun, if you don't mind my asking?"she asked. She was kind of curious and maybe if she knew what he liked, then maybe it would help both of them.

Devon listened to Sophia speak. She listed just a few things what humans enjoyed doing. He understood the hunting, since demons did that too. Reading...well he didn't know how to read. Most demons did not know how to read. As for talking, well demons just didn't talk for fun. Then she ended up asking him what demons did for fun. He shrugged a bit as he walked over and sat down on a chair. "Kill I suppose. Pick on the lesser demons. We really don't just do things for fun. There really isn't time for fun. I hold a position close to the Demon Lord and well I was raised pretty much by him ever since I was a few months old. As a kid I trained. I guess training counts for fun. I enjoyed it. I also enjoy killing though."
Truth of it was, Devon hardly ever killed. He didn't always enjoy it. He didn't mind killing those that tried to cause him harm or those that were bloody bastards. Demons or humans, it didn't matter. But to just go out and kill, that wasn't his thing. He did pick on some of the lesser demons but that was mainly to show that he was a high demon.
Devon leaned back in the chair. Only moments later, he leaned forward in the chair, resting his elbows on his knees. He was having a hard time just sitting still. "So ah...how are your injuries. You know ah...how you feeling?" Devon slowly looked over towards her.

Sophia Goldenheart
Sophia just wasn't sure what they really could do out in the middle of nowhere, that she would really enjoy. When he mentioned killing, she wasn't sure how anyone could call that fun. What if someone had not done anything to them?
"Um, I am still sore, mostly down there. I ummm...was a virgin. As for killing, I think that should only be used in defense, not for fun. Not everyone deserves to die, many just are doing what they are told,"she explained.

Devon once again averted his eyes from hers. "I ah...figured you were." Demons who hadn't had sex before weren't called virgins, that was something of a holy word. A word the demons preferred not to use. The way they looked at it was either you had sex or you hadn't. That's all there was to it. He wasn't sorry for being her first. It was going to happen one way or another. Sooner or later. "Killing is done for survival. The strong live, the weak die. If you don't prove that you're strong, you'll be killed. So maybe it's more of a survival thing than it is for fun." He shrugged a little. "And those that do just as they are told and end up being killed for it, well they choose the wrong side. Their fault that they died."
TIME JUMP
Three mornings later, Devon still heard very little about the Demon Lord's plans. Apparently he had been talking to the King of the humans. Devon's guess was maybe a treaty would form out of this. He really didn't care one way or the other. He just did what he was told to do. Devon awoke later than usual. He had been plagued by the shadows in his dreams. Reminders of just how powerful the Demon Lord was. Dreams like the ones Devon had where actually controlled by the Demon Lord. Devon had been fighting for his life in his dream. Nearly killed. This was one out of many ways the Demon Lord knew how to control Devon.
Devon sat in his bed, panting a bit as he just tried to figured out everything that had happened. Making sure none of it actually did. However, he noticed his right side of his chest in pain. Three large claw marks that where dripping blood. As much as it was a dream, the Demon Lord made sure his mark was seen. To most though it would just seem that Devon scratched himself while he had slept. Maybe that was the case, but Devon did not believe he would have been able to do so. He placed his left hand over the wound and sent lightening over it. He grunted in pain, gritting his teeth as the wound started to close. It wouldn't really be healed, but it would be closed, that was his healing ability.

Sophia Goldenheart
Sophia guessed it should have been obvious she was a virgin, she didn't look like the type that would make a habit of that kind of activity. When he mentioned it being a survival of the fittest, she shivered a little, though she supposed humans were the same way. That was why their people went to war and made the kinds of arrangements that they did.
"I guess we are not much better than you are in that regard, we do things to survive too. And just remember, there is always someone more powerful than you are,"she reminded.
It had been three days since she had been brought here and she had been true to her word, she had been nicer to him. All things considered and considering their first morning, she had come to find out he wasn't really that bad. That morning she had been sleeping, when she thought she heard a grunt coming from his room. She opened her eyes, before getting out of bed and padding over to his room.
" Are you okay?"she asked with some worry in her voice, then saw the marks, which made her gasp.

Devon was nearly finished closing the wounds when Sophia entered his room. He lost focus which caused him to hit a spot that was not in need of closing. He gritted his teeth harder and mentally cursed himself. He finished up closing the three claw marks, before looking back at Sophia. "What are you doing?" He had tried to be nicer to Sophia the past few days. Honestly, he was. Though his words where always a bit more harsh than what they needed to be. He just had a hard time expressing himself with the right words. He shook his head as he climbed out of bed, grabbing a shirt and quickly putting it on. "I'm fine. Just ah...small incident last night." He had no idea how he would explain what happened. He knew what it looked like and most demons would believe what it looked like over words. If he wasn't careful most would call him insane so he choose to always drop it before it started.
"I thought you'd be sleeping yet. Still early enough." Devon walked over to her. "Why don't I...try cooking the eggs today." He had decided starting yesterday he would try to cook things. He even became brave enough to try some of the eggs Sophia had cook the day before. Finding it tasting rather good. Demons never indulged in tasty things. Food was food, but he found himself curious on knowing what other food could taste like.

Sophia Goldenheart Sophia thought those looked like claw marks, wondering what could have left those, she couldn't see how he could have done that himself. When he said he was fine, her eyes held doubt in them, but she decided to leave it alone for now. She had only winced slightly when he seemed to be rough with his words, but she had gotten used to that by now. When he suggested trying to cook something this morning, she smiled softly and nodded her head encouragingly.
" I had been asleep, but when I heard you in here, I..was um...worried. No worries though, let's just go see if you can cook something,"she answered. She led the way into the kitchen and got out a pan, explaining what temperature they would want it at.
