Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd spent most of his day lounging around his parents estate. His parents had wanted him to be married by now, but with the flirtation attitude of his, he just did not want to settle down. At the age of twenty-three though, his parents really were starting to get on his case. Who could blame them though? Lloyd often brought home two different females nearly every night. If he didn't bring them to his bed he stayed at a hotel room. It didn't matter where he slept really; as long as he had a beauty next to him. Lloyd really didn't have a care in the world. At least there was one thing he seemed to enjoy doing and that was sparring with the guards his family hired. He started to become interested in sword fighting and hand to hand combat when he was twelve. At least he had something that gave him more credit to the Middleton name instead of just a womanizer. Nearly every female around knew of Lloyd's womanizing, but it just never stopped the women from hanging onto him and sleeping with him. Perhaps it was his charm or how he treated every lady.
It was always at evening when Lloyd really started to come alive. He would spar a little with the guards before running off into the city. One time, his parents had forbidden him to leave the estate. The guards where told not to allow Lloyd out. Well, that wasn't hard for him at all. Lloyd knew of secret passages and would sneak out of his room. Which then, in the morning, his parents would find that there was still a new woman in Lloyd's bed.
Lloyd arrived into the tavern shortly after seven that evening. The large table that sat in a private room was already for him, like it was every night. There he would tell made up stories about adventures about someone that he had gone with. Of course he didn't make himself be the hero. That would just be bragging. Telling about the story on the other hand, just saying you where there and helped out was enough to polish himself. The cups were lined up on the table along with bottles of alcohol. He didn't drink to get drunk, he only drank maybe two glasses a night just enough to keep himself amused. He took his seat at the head of the table and filled up his glass while women and men started to gather around the table. Women usually always sat to the left and right of him, and one or two might even be hanging around his neck and shoulders.
Two women where already over Lloyd before he even started a tall tale. "It's good to see that you all returned to hear more adventures. Glad to see some lovely new faces as well." Lloyd grinned as he took a sip of his drink. "Ah, so which story should I start with tonight." One man shouted about the dragon. The one where the hero, Lloyd and a few others managed to slay the giant beast. Of course that was all made up, but the way Lloyd told the story including all the details made it sound like it happened. Dragons where rare enough as it was so telling a story that he had seen one would be enough for most, one would think, to realize it was just that, a story. "All right, all right." Lloyd chuckled a little. "Well it was Sam, myself, and three others. Sam was often the one to lead our group around. Which was fine by me. Brave soul that Sam was. Always looking for the next big adventure. We went to some abandoned mines upon hearing a reward to slay a dragon. None of us really believed a real dragon was there. Well, except for Sam. This made us wonder if he was still fit to lead us, but we trusted him. With all the adventures we had gone on before, there really was no reason for us not to."
Lloyd continued on with the story until he got to the end. "And while I was distracted the beast, nearly getting grilled. Sam scaled the dragon and dug his swords into the dragons neck. Sam was being thrown left and right, up and down as the dragon tried everything in its power to shake him off. Sam hung on until the dragon finally collapsed. We were lucky to have a mage with us to heal all of our wounds. Especially Sam's. Poor guy had broken his arm the way the dragon had flung him around." The women where saying how heroic he had been to slay a dragon and the men where shouting cheers as they were drunk.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank The night had started out fairly nice for Caitlyn, despite the fact that she got into another argument with her father. Their words a never ending circle about something that in reality she considered a pointless meaning of both their time. He tried to raise her with the etiquette of a noblewoman, something until a few years ago, she would had agreed to. But after one reckless action her fate and opinion changed drastically when she got herself into a little trouble, and did the only thing she could to save herself. She used magic, she was not aware she had, and bound the creature that attempted to kill her to herself.
It was to her, a thrilling experience, the hum of magic that spread on her skin. But society frowned on those that used magic, looked down on magic users with little more than disdain. The choice she made, she ruined her chances for being a respectable noble woman, and the people she once considered her friends looked at her with nothing but hatred. She was grateful, she realized, because this opened her eyes to how shallow a life she had been living. But it also gave her an opening, the realization that she wasn't a defenseless woman. But her father did not see it the same way.
Her father was a self made nobleman, she stopped caring to hear the story of how he did it years ago, In reality it didn't matter a whole lot to her now... just that he held himself with a lot of pride with all he accomplished. He was fortunate that her magic did not ruin his status, and his only saving grace was that her gift came from her mother's line, and for it's own rights, generally "accepted" among his "peers". Caitlyn, realized after she got over her initial pain and anger from the betrayal by the people she grew up around that she didn't want their "acceptance" or a life as shallow as she had been living and started to rebel in her own manner.
That was how she ended up spending her nights like she did now; sitting in the tavern watching the drinking and the festive chaos unwind before her. Her best friend was the daughter of the tavern owner, a young woman that cared not that about Caitlyn as a noble, or magic user, but as a person. Caitlyn was forbidden by the owners from helping her friend serve, but neither them, or her father could change her mind about her going to sit and visit with her at night. Her father conceded, only after he realized she did not get in near as much trouble, when she was permitted to be around those that accepted her.
She was not surprised anymore when the tavern grew busy. Even when it grew far busier than what it use to be, after a certain noble started making his presence known, it allowed her the opportunity to sit and talk with some of the quieter visitors, the ones she learned quickly were true journey men, while her friend joined the throng of all the women and awe inspired men that gawked at the man that his stories were fancy woven tales. Something that was clear to her the first day she heard him, spout his nonsense about dragons and how he had slayed one with a group of others. There were too many details, that lack on knowledge allowed others to believe him, but she had her own first hand knowledge that revealed to her how absurd his story really was.
Normally, this would not bother her. By the time he normally belted out this tale, she had already wrapped herself up in another conversation with a true traveler, and was so absorbed in the stories that told that that she could not even hear the other's nonsense. But tonight was not so lucky. The true travelers were out making their runs, and the inn besides the local chaos, and noble advertisement, was relatively dry of people that Caitlyn wanted to talk with. Her friend actually had some free time, and stood next to her at the counter, but was listening to him just as smitten as most the other women in the room and Caitlyn found herself a little more than annoyed.
"Hubert would be dissapointed in you listening to his bullshit.... remember how much he laughed when you told him about it..." she whispered under her breath and her friend laughed after a minute.
"Bull shit or not, Hubert, cannot compare to the stud that spouts the nonsense," her friend responded. Caitlyn sighed. Her friend was gone, at least for now, in her own fantasies... Caitlyn, didn't blame her either. Llyod Middleton was a sight to behold, Something that even she could not ignore... But Caitlyn had her own thoughts as well, and her own belief was to stay as far from the noble as she could. Caitlyn sighed and gave her friend the "what-are-you-doing-still-talking-to-me look." and was not surprised when her friend took the opportunity and ran, suddenly caring about all the drinks that needed to be refilled.
Alone again Caitlyn sat to her thoughts, sipping her own drink. She tried to ignore the enthusiastic cheers about a dragon's death.... the very same cheers that sent painful pangs of pain to her heart.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd was laughing and having a good time with the men and women that were around him. He loved being around people. It didn't matter if it was at balls or the tavern. He just wanted to be around them. Especially the ladies. Lloyd noticed the server girl finally come over to his group to refill the drinks. He had taken notice that she had been talking to a red head. From where he sat he couldn't quite make out who the red head was, but he felt like he should know her. In the world nobles usually knew other nobles; especially their status. However, Lloyd did not care for status. If you were a noble, great. If you were a low noble, that's fine too. Or even a commoner who the hell really cared? People, all of them where fun and they all had their own stories to be seen. Their own beauty.
Lloyd grabbed the attention of the server girl and quietly asked her whom she had been talking to. She had informed him that it was Caitlyn Wallace. Lloyd thanked her and gave one of his charming smiles. He stood up. "If you shall all excuse me for a moment." A few of the ladies aww'd as they didn't want to leave his side. "I will return in just a few moments. Surely all you lovely ladies can be without me for a few moments." Lloyd kissed one of the lady's hands randomly as he started to walk away. This actually gave some of the men there a chance to try to secure a lady for themselves for the evening.
Lloyd walked over to Caitlyn. He knew a fair amount about her. How she was actually a magic user. A summoner of sorts. He didn't really care about that. He didn't shy away from magic users or looked down upon them. Most people feared magic users, simply for the fact they just did not understand. People are always afraid of the unknown. He was more pulled over by her stunning beauty. Sure there were red heads that he had slept with, but Caitlyn was just stunning in all physical aspects. Yes, she was the woman he wanted to bring back to his room tonight. "Mind if I have a seat?" He spoke to Caitlyn, though he did not wait for an answer as he sat down next to her. "I do not believe I ever got the privilege of ever getting to meet you. Let me introduce myself, Lloyd Middleton." He bowed his head slightly as he looked back up to meet her gaze. She was even more stunning up close in person. If she had visited the tavern before, it was a shame that he had never taken notice of her. He also doubted her family would have been invited to the high nobles dances. Sadly, high nobles usually preferred to stick with the high nobles.
For the Middleton family, they had been high nobles for four generations. Lloyd's great grandfather was the brother of the King. Which meant that there was royal blood running through Lloyd's blood, but that was so far down the line he did not care for even knowing that. Then his grandfather had become an advisor to the King during his time. Lloyd's father was a knight until he retired early. So there was a bunch of random history thrown in the Middleton family. The history that was able to keep them such high nobles. It was Lloyd's father who had hoped that Lloyd would seek out being a knight or an advisor, but instead, he got something completely different.
"Might I ask, what a lovely lady such as yourself, is doing all alone here in the tavern on this fine evening? Oh and where are my manners. Why don't I get you a drink. Anything you like." Lloyd placed his typical charming smile upon his lips. He really had no idea what things actually cost. He just threw down the coin whenever he bought something. When most of the commoners could barely afford alcohol, Lloyd was passing alcohol around like it was nothing. He had no idea the struggles that most people in the city actually faced. That many went hungry and where unable to eat for two or more days at a time.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
She didn't notice at first, that Lloyd had taken notice of her, till she realized it was too late and he was asking to sit by her. Her friend walking by giving her a envious but and apologetic look as she did so and Caitlyn thought a silence curse, realizing that she had been sold out... Obvious with the fact that her friend had her own dreamy look on her face; gone, Caitlyn noted, with the fact she had the opportunity to talk to Lloyd. It made matters all the more ironic, that Caitlyn knew she was going to hear about her friends encounter non stop for a while yet.
Fate had an odd sense of humor it seemed. Normally, or in the past she had not crossed his radar when Lloyd visited, she did not know sending her friend to serve him would be what she considered her death sentence. If she had thought that was the case her friend could have swooned herself to death, right there besides her, except... she realized that might have caught his attention too. She had been playing with fire she realized, when she had stayed in the same building with him. At first she thought he was going to move on to another tavern, another night, but he stayed far longer than she had ever expected... Reflecting, it was only a matter of time, no matter how hard she tried, that they would have crossed paths. and reluctantly admitted that she probably should have stopped visiting when he first started visiting. But her pride and her friendship did not let her listen to reason, and she felt like she almost had a territorial claim on this location. She was there first, and she wasn't going to run away...She bit her lip, when she realized this, thinking that she spent way to much time with Hubert...
He introduced himself and locked his gaze on her again and she could barely keep her thoughts straight against the flaring warning bells in her head... "I'm Caitlyn... Caitlyn Wallace..." She spoke after a minute, realizing that her best option was to respond. She hoped, prayed, that he would grow tired of her and move onto some other prey. She ignored that social protocol expected her to state that it was a "honor" to meet him, she didn't need to stroke his already large ego. She held his gaze, just long enough to be considered socially polite before averting it and staring at the amber liquid of her drink.
Move-along, move-along, move-along, the thoughts became a mental mantra directed at him in the slight moment of silence they shared. Some how he didn't catch or hear it. Matters needed to dissolve quickly she thought, in a way that would not affect her friends family income. Lloyd's presence lately had been a god send and she had no desire to ruin that. But the situation wasn't helped by the fact that his presence there made her already stressed and tense nerves lock up. She already had lost her calm once at that night, with her father, and it did not look promising that she would keep it a second time... especially after he spoke again.
That rational territorial feeling, as she had deemed it to be, flared again when he asked what she was doing alone in the tavern. Her temper reminding her that she was the one who had a reason to be there, her brain begging for the sake of her friend to keep her cool. Reminding herself that she it was best she sent him away bored of her, she barely managed to hold on. "Sir Middleton, as generous an offer as that is, I am afraid I should not accept. I came to visit a friend and I am expected to return home soon, and it's best that I don't drink much more than what I already have consumed." She held up her cup as she spoke and did her best to keep her tone polite. She continued her mental mantra and gave him a quick curt smile.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Caitlyn." Oh how Lloyd loved her name. Especially the way she spoke her own name. Already is his own mind he was trying to come up with nicknames for the girl. Catty...Cat...Kitty! Oh how he liked that nickname. He could already see them in bed together, him calling her his little kitten. Perhaps it did sound a little shallow, but Lloyd always found it easier to remember women's names when he would add a nickname to them. More often than not they were the typical female nicknames. Especially when he did actually end up forgetting their name. Babe, baby, sweetie, honey, all names he had used when in that situation. His excuse was there was just too many people that he meets on a daily basis and just is unable to recall every single name. In the worst case scenarios if he was ever called out he would just make up another tall tale. About how he got hit on the head just the other day by a monster and how that made his memory become a little jumbled with certain things. Lloyd was too good of a liar, but for him, he didn't really believe he was lying. He was just having fun and those that were near him also were almost always enjoying themselves.
The stare the two gave each other had a certain aura around it. One that Lloyd ignored. He was not one to pick up on when he was not wanted. Then again, he always believed he was wanted. Everyone he met always loved him so why would there ever be anyone in the world that would not want him near them? Finally, after a long silence, Caitlyn spoke up again. Her words confused him. "Surely you can make an exception on being a little late home. Worst case why don't I walk you home if you are late and I will tell your parents you were with me. They wont be mad." No noble in their right mind would dare to get upset with Lloyd. Though there were plenty of nobles that did know Lloyd's ploys. If anything, most noblemen disliked Lloyd knowing that there was always a high chance that he may or already had, slept with their daughters. Which having a daughter that was note 'pure' for when she was forced into an arranged marriage was always frowned upon. That was on thing Lloyd just never got. Suitors. He had been threatened by his own parents that they would arrange a wedding for him one day with someone they picked. Good luck with that.
"Your friend is quite lucky to be friends with someone so beautiful as yourself. Why don't your friend and us, why don't we grab a small table together? Can get to know each other." Clearly Lloyd had never heard of the word 'no' before. Honestly he had, he just never actually 'heard' the word. He would never take a woman by force though, but that didn't stop him from trying everything in the book to get the woman to want to sleep with him. Most of the time when he would seem to give up on a woman whom did not want to sleep with him, he just moved on. Though most of those cases where women whom where already married. Lloyd never went have married women. Marriage, to Lloyd, was something that should be sacred. Something that two people actually in love should do. Not be forced into it. All right, he lied. He had slept with married women before, but only those that were not happy in their marriage. They sought him out and explained how they had been handed off to a scum just so her family could have enough coin for a few meals.
Lloyd was not going to press his luck with offering drinks again to Caitlyn. If someone said they had enough to drink that was fine with him. He had been pissed drunk a few times, and he never fully enjoyed being that drunk. Tipsy was always fine, where he was still able to think swiftly on his feet. He respected people when they knew they were at their limits when it came to alcohol. Instead, Lloyd decided to change the topic. Or at least start a better conversation. "From the rumors I hear floating around, people claim you have a gift." Well any sane person wouldn't call summoning a gift. It was a curse! Even his own parents had warned him to stay away from people who used magic. The only ones his family didn't mind was when they needed healing usually for their own guards. Though his father did have a mage heal some wounds when he was working. "I think they call your gift a summon magic or something." There really was no secrets when you were of noble status no matter how little your status was.
Lloyd's planning on changing the topic was simple. Of course he always loved to talk, but he also loved to listen. That was how he had gotten some of his own tales was by listening to actual adventurers. As a small child he often took off when he should have been asleep, going to the guards quarters to hear them talk about their stories. When that had not satisfied him, he learned about the bars and taverns in the city which caused him to seek those out. That was how he ended up wanting to learn the art of the sword. He learned plenty of that all by listening.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank She was unsure what she should say. Manner dictated that she echo his words and say that it was a pleasure as well. But Caitlyn felt that is was a bad idea, She knew what he had found truly pleasurable and she in no way wanted to encourage those thoughts with her. "I should say the same..." she finally brought herself to respond. "It's not often that one of your status seeks out someone like me." She realized it was probably best she kept her eyes off Lloyd. It was with a bitter realization she thought a little clearer when she did.
No, she realized, she was no where immune to his charms... This thought made her stomach churn uneasily and she wanted nothing but to get as far away from him as possible. Instead she swallowed the bitter taste in her mouth and metaphorically buckled down her knees. He talked more, and her blood ran cold with when he offered to take her home. The last thing she needed was her father seeing her talking to someone, okay not just someone but LLoyd Middleton, who ranked above them in status. Her father's hopes and desires would soar to high for her to deal with... It would be much harder to avoid him, if her father decided to try and play match maker. "As kind an offer that is, again, I find it unwise... My father and I are not on best terms right now... and it is best, I don't make matters worse." It was a good save she realized.
She was not one who ran from her problems. She listened to him faintly and heard his comment about her friend, him, and her finding a table. She sighed. "As much as Milly might enjoy that, I can say that probably isn't a good idea. Her parents like her to keep busy, " She glanced at her friend as she darted between the tables, refilling drinks and chatting with the people. How she wished that she was in her friends place, then they both would be happy. "though, I could possibly ask them to let me take over her job if you would like to talk to her..."
He spoke again and she looked back at him in shock. No noble had brought up her abilities in such a light manner before, and she got the impression he was actually a little curious. Trouble, Trouble, Trouble. Her thoughts echoed as she sat there and tried to comprehend that he called it a "Gift". It was the first time she heard someone actually vocalize her abilities with that word. The commoners, while they respected that it was not necessarily evil, feared her powers for the most part as well. Besides Milly, though not even Milly called it a gift. It let her heart fly a moment, before she remembered that the speaker of the word was a noble, and a noble she wanted to avoid. Trouble, trouble, trouble she reminded herself and her mantra that had slipped from her brain returned.
She pursed her lips, unsure how to respond. It was something she didn't have much of an opportunity to talk about, and she did wish to speak about it... But why did it have to be him, that actually showed interest. She realized why Lloyd managed to have so many women fall into bed with him, he was pure temptation, from his body to his words. He knew just what he needed to do, to make a person feel at ease with him. Her skin prickled in unease... and she still wrestled with the question of should she talk with him. She wanted him to go, and opening the door of conversation was not something that would send him on his way. "I... I... I'm unsure that I should talk about that..." she muttered after a minute.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd barely caught the words Caitlyn had carefully chosen about his pleasantries of meeting her. He tilted his head and chuckled a little. "Come now, status is, well, boring. Mingling with only the same ranks does not mean much. We all are human, no? Why can't we all enjoy each others company no matter what our own individual status is." Lloyd really did not care where one person came from or what their family rank was. He was able to find friends no matter what their status was. Perhaps that might be due to the fact Lloyd always ended up paying when he was near anyone. He didn't mean to flaunt his money around, all he was doing was trying to be nice and pay for things for his friends. To most it would seem kind of silly to have friends only because you buy them things. Some higher nobles saw Lloyd as pathetic because of that. People willing to be his 'friend' so he could pay for them. Would they stand their ground and fight for their friend? Chances are, no. Lloyd couldn't see that though. Everyone was his friend.
Lloyd frowned when he heard that she and her father where not close. "You should try to work things out with your father. I would be more than happy and willing to talk with him, if you'd like. I am not sure what differences you have right now, but you are still family. Family needs to be strong." Lloyd had his own issues with his family. Nothing that he truly believed would get in the way of their love though. He loved his parents no matter what they side or did. Of course Lloyd trusted his friends, but he really trusted his family. Family should always be the one thing you can always count on to be there for you. "We shall make sure though that you are not late returning home though." Lloyd would have loved to have taken Caitlyn home with him, but he also did not want to strain her relationship with her father. There would always be another day, but that did not mean he would just up and leave. That would be rude. Besides, he wanted another friend.
Lloyd listened to what Caitlyn said about Milly being kept busy. "I will make sure to talk with Lady Milly later then. When she is not so busy." Lloyd often put Lady or Sir in front of everyone's name no matter their status. He had tried to just do without the Sir or Lady before, but that had gotten him into trouble with his parents. Instead, he choose to call everyone with that title. He had found a way around the rules his parents had given him.
Lloyd noticed that she seemed to be in deep thought. Or something. He gave a look of concern since there was silence between the two of them. Maybe he shouldn't have just upright asked her about her gift, but he really was interested in it! He watched her purse her lips and still stay silent. He had noticed she was trying to avoid his gaze and that had bothered him too. He was about to speak when she finally spoke herself. He gave a sigh and shook his head. "There is no need to be ashamed of something that is a gift. But, I will not pressure you into talking about it if you do not want. Just know that if you ever do, I'll be here. Whenever you want. I still think it's pretty great that you're able to have a gift like yours. I mean...all I can do is talk and swing a sword. Nothing as amazing as you." He shifted a bit and moved his head enough so he would finally be able to look at her face a bit more. She could avert her gaze all she wanted but he was determined to see her beautiful face. "Something so beautiful should never have any reason to hide." He spoke softly with a smile. He was referring to Caitlyn as beautiful.
One of the women that had been hanging around Lloyd had decided to try to get Lloyd back. She walked over to Lloyd and Caitlyn and put her arms around Lloyd's shoulders. "We miss you Lloyd. More importantly, I miss you. Leave her alone." She glared over to Caitlyn. "She clearly does not have interest in you nor your wonderful tales. You shouldn't waste your time on someone like her."
Lloyd frowned when the woman spoke like she had. "I am afraid it is you whom does not deserve my time." Lloyd stood up and faced the woman. "It is not your choice on whom I talk to or do not. I enjoy your company, but speaking ill of others like you just did, does not make me fond of being around someone like that. I am willing to look the other way if you apologize to Lady Caitlyn and head back to the table. I will be there when I am willing to return." Lloyd had slept with the women twice already, and he did enjoy her, but the way she spoke no. He knew it was just some blinded jealousy and that when she was able to think clearly she would realize her mistakes.
"But Lloyd!" The woman started to protest but then gave a sigh with a roll of her eyes. She looked over to Caitlyn and with a snotty reply spoke, "Sorry." And then left.
"I...must apologize for the little incident. I do not know what got in her mindset." Lloyd spoke to Caitlyn as he sat back down next to her. "I know you do not want to miss your curfew, but could I buy a meal tonight? If not tonight how about another evening? A way to make up for the little incident earlier"

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank Lloyd, in a sense seemed to baffle her. Every effort she had made to try and put up walls between them, in a matter of a few words, he knock them down with a sledge hammer. It ate at her a little bit. She sighed a small sigh in defeat, which surprised her, when he stated that he wanted to consider everyone equal. She didn't comment to that statement, everyone equal it was a nice thought, but she doubted he would even be talking to her if it wasn't for the fact that she was a female that landed on his radar. If she wasn't in the shape she was in, or female, she doubted that he would be talking to her at all. Then he apologized for her relationship with her father and she bristled. His intentions, she could see, were not bad but she resented that a noble, a higher noble, was comment that she should try and piece things back together. In her mind, her strained relationship was because of the nobility. Her father, was a proud man, he worked hard earned status, and married her mother, who while not very high on the nobility scale, had a rich heritage before her. All was fine and dandy, even after her mother passed young, until Caitlyn learned she inherited what was considered to be her mother's family skeleton. That was when everything went to hell. Her father, and his pride still tried to carve and secure a place for her in noble ranks, and she wanted nothing to do with it, especially after how she had been treated. His words felt like a sucker punch to her gut, she didn't argue because she wanted too. She in reality loved her father very much, She just wanted acceptance, not to pretend her powers didn't exist. But before she could say anything else, he promised then not to keep her later than she needed to be. Her snippy comment, died on her lips and she just stared a minute unsure how to respond. Realizing her gaze was lasting too long on him again she adverted it and focused on one of the night blackened windows. She let him talk, he was comfortable with it, and found her voice again when he mentioned he would talk to Milly later. "She's appreciate that..." Caitlyn was surprised at the gentleness in her own voice. Milly she found was truly her soft spot, and hearing that Lloyd call her "Lady" did something to ease her nerves. Milly was more of a lady, than several women Caitlyn had dealt with her own life, and even if it was his own quirk of considering everyone equal, it felt nice that he validated her own thoughts. Then he accepted that she didn't want to talk about her gift and she looked at her hands. She realized almost to late that he was trying to catch her gaze again, while trying to mention that if she ever did want to talk he would listen. His words sounded sincere enough that she brought her gaze up to meet his and he made his comment about not hiding something so beautiful... She felt a blush rise to her cheeks and was baffled, asking if he meant her gift was beautiful or her face that he had spend the last few minutes trying to look at. In reality it didn't seem to matter, he with that sentence seemed to crack the stronger of her barriers. "It's not... I'm not wishing to hide it..." she muttered and met his gaze. "I have no desire to hide who I am or what I can do. I just don't go flaunting it either. It's best if one in my situation doesn't bring attention to themselves." Her anger, she realized returned and she spoke with it hinting in her tone. Cailtyn couldn't say anymore before the whole ordeal with the other woman came up and started prying for Lloyd attention again. Caitlyn hoped the woman would succeed, it would make matters easier, she was about to bear her soul to the man she considered at the time to be public enemy number one. But then he surprised her and told the woman off, and defended Caitlyn who treated and admired him far less than the woman whom clung to his arm. Matters resolved, sorta, the woman would give Caitlyn trouble later she knew, he apologized again and offered to buy her a meal and Caitlyn found herself diving off the deep end. " Why, why are you doing this." she snapped. He had given her the handle she needed to send him away. " If you are trying to buy my affection just stop now. It is not for sale, in any shape or form. I don't want your money, I don't want your pity!" she stood up. " You would have better luck seeking out the woman you just sent away, She made if very clear that she wanted your affections." The door to her mind open she voiced the other opinion dancing in her thoughts. " It is foolish and contradictory when you claim you consider everyone to be equal, then you throw your money at them, and buy them anything they desire! A true equal would pay what they could first!" Fuming she noticed shut her mouth, noting the worried look Milly sent her way. She mentally cursed, realizing what she just did. " Excuse me." She whispered a little calmer and spun around about to head towards the kitchen.

Lloyd smiled gently, glad that Caitlyn approved of him speaking with Milly later. He always kept his promises, well those he wanted to keep. He was careful with the words when promising things. For Milly though, he really did mean it. Promising things to his parents, well that was another story. They usually tried to force him into making promises. Lloyd did what he wanted to do, and he did it the way he wanted to do it.
Then, he was taken back by what she said. How she didn't wish to hide her gift. He was glad to know that she did not wish to hide who she really was. "I think I understand what you are saying. Still, I think magic is something that's amazing. I just don't understand why people fear it so much." Lloyd thought aloud as he really did ponder that. People fearing things they did not understand. How about they learn from it instead? "I'm glad you don't wish to hide who you really are. Embrace what makes you, you." Lloyd smiled gently. Lloyd had learned to embrace who he was at an early age. Or was that just his mother telling him that he was perfect just the way he was all of his life.
Lloyd gave a shocked look when Caitlyn seemed to snap. What did he do to cause this? Had he said something wrong? He listened to her and frowned as she went on about things. About how her affection wasn't for sale. How she didn't want his pity. He saw her stand up and then continue to lecture him. He was about to open his mouth to say something, but he just wasn't sure what to say. He was shocked. He had never been talked to like this before. He watched Caitlyn head towards the kitchen. He could have shouted back at her, but that wasn't like him. Lloyd rarely got angry or upset. That was just part of his charm. Still...her words did sting a little. Was it true that he wasn't treating everyone as equals by paying everything. He never thought that way. He just figured he was being nice and treating everyone out. He didn't care about coin.
Lloyd rubbed the back of his neck as he tried to figure out what to do. He could have just given up and gone back to his group, but that just didn't feel right. He noticed a few looks that people where giving him wondering what was going on. Lloyd gave a grin and waved to his group. He wanted to let them know that everything was all right. He walked over to Milly instead. "Hey...ah...I know this might seem strange, but you're Kitty's friend right?" Lloyd had already given Caitlyn a nickname and actually used it. "Ah, I mean Caitlyn, but can you make sure that she's all right? Without realizing it, I said a few things that weren't right. I'd go apologize, but I think she doesn't want me anywhere near her." He frowned.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank well milly for the moment:Milly was shocked when she was stopped yet a second time by Lloyd. It was frustrating when she learned he was asking again, about Caitlyn. It was frustrating that the one girl, who wanted nothing to do with him seemed to have gotten his attention. But Milly couldn't be angry, not for long, she actually after a moment of thinking about it found the situation hilarious. Especially, to the fact that he found an extremely fitting nickname for her friend, kitty, she knew that the second he started to use it, Caitlyn was not going to be amused. Milly couldn't help it, she started laughing. " I am sorry," she muttered after a minute. " This situation is a little amusing... did you call her Kitty... that might have done it..."As a friend she was not surprised that Caitlyn snapped, She caught Caitlyn's mood the moment she had walked in. She heard the rant about the fight she had with her father, and she knew that she had been avoiding the noble since he started showing up here. It just wasn't Caitlyn's night. It wasn't going to be Lloyds either. After a minute she realized Lloyd was actually worried though and Milly quickly resolved her mood. " Listen, you did surprisingly good, she was in a foul mood tonight anyways, her father and her had words and well, the fact is that you did not end up with a drink all over you.. And that is major, especially since you started out tonight with that dragon tale of yours..." Milly had been one that sometimes couldn't keep her mouth shut when she needed too. Which left her rambling to the hottie before her. While they had been talking, Milly had served the customers, and it had brought her in and out of ear range of their conversation, so she heard bits and pieces up till Caitlyn got mad. " She's not to fond of nobles.. hasn't been since she contracted Hubert... It's a silly pride thing she inherited from her father... and you... you have rubbed her wrong for a while... probably without even trying to. Every time she hears that story, i see the vein in her head bulge. To top off this royal pie you a noble said everything she had been wanting others to say to her for a while..." Milly at this point realized that she probably said too much and immediately shut her mouth. " Yeah... I'll check on her..." She spoke covering her slip up... setting down the pitcher she was using to serve the others and paused. " If you really feel you should apologize, you can follow... it's best to do so before she stews..." Milly didn't wait for a response. She couldn't say that the thing he was most guilty of was making himself a likable person to her. That Caitlyn got mad mainly for the fact that her attempts to push him away didn't work. Caitlyn had some truth in her words, but she thought Lloyd saw that too, so she didn't need to feel the need to Elaborate that. Lloyd could make his choices. How he spent his money was his choice... " Hang back a minute." She muttered in case he did follow and walked into the kitchen. Milly found Caitlyn easily, and Cailtyn sighed, knowing that her friend had appeared behind her less than happy. Finally after a minute Caitlyn spoke up " Milly, I'm sorry, i know he's a big customer for your family." " You better be." she muttered and sat down, " You okay?" Caitlyn shrugged. " I will be." she muttered. " Hopefully, word won't get back to my father... this will be a field day." " you could take the fire from his sails and apologize to Mr Mc-Hottie..." Milly cracked a grin and even Caitlyn smiled. " you are gonna cause the old man a heart attack one day." Caitlyn sighed and Milly looked at the workers in the kitchen... " Do you think that your dad is asleep yet?" Caitlyn shrugged, it was hard to tell. her father had mixed moods, and his reactions to their fights varied... she wouldn't know till she returned home. Milly sighed. " Milly..." " Listen stay or go, but realize you are going to have to talk to one of those two men..." she folded her arms. " I would recommend Sir Middleton, at least have some fun, you don't have to sleep with him you know... I expect that, you get him back into a money spending mood." and that was all she said before she picked herself up and went back to the other room to serve all the other customers. Caitlyn sighed, and brought her head down to the counter top. She hated when Milly knew how to counter her thoughts.

Lloyd watched as Milly laughed. He couldn't help but to smile himself. Even if it had not been meant to be funny, he did enjoy seeing people smile or laugh. He shook his head when she asked if he had called Caitlyn, kitty to her face. "I did not call her Kitty," Though it was good to know that Caitlyn may not enjoy the nickname as much as he did for her. Still, he would have to find a place one day to slide the nickname in and see what would happen. With the few moments here, he could tell that Milly was a sweet girl.
As Milly spoke he listened, for the most part. Lloyd heard that Caitlyn apparently was in a foul mood this night due to an argument with her father. He really hoped he didn't help the foul mood at all. He really hoped he had made Caitlyn happier even if for a moment. However, knowing this, he wanted to make sure Caitlyn was in a better mood by the end of the night. Then Milly had gone on about how Caitlyn wasn't too fond of nobles. Did it really matter the status of who someone was? Lloyd had friends in all ranks of life. Or so he thought. Then there was the mention of Hubert, the name didn't ring too much of a bell for him. Knowing he was rubbing Caitlyn the wrong way for awhile now, didn't sit well with him either. The dragon story, apparently Caitlyn was not a fan of it. He wondered why. Rarely did he meet someone that did not like any of his stories. He wondered if it were any other story that Caitlyn did not like of his or if it was just the dragon one. He just couldn't figure out why she wouldn't like it though.
Lloyd was shocked then, hearing that he had said everything that Caitlyn had wanted to hear for awhile. Was she talking about Caitlyn's gift? Lloyd frowned as he was in deep thought on that one. People didn't like magic users no matter who they were or what magic they held. Magic was not to be seen as a gift. Even he was told that by his father when he had heard that Lloyd thought magic users had gifts. Perhaps that was just another reason why he liked magic users. He didn't give them pity though, he was intrigued by them. All a mage had to do if they came against combat was summon up their magic and BOOM that thing was gone! Or if they were a healing mage they could heal broken bones.
"Thank you, Milly, and all right." Lloyd smiled softly as he watched Milly head into the kitchen. He did hang back, leaning up against the wall near the kitchen. He thought there. Milly did seem like a true friend to Caitlyn, which was good to see. He was persistent on talking with Caitlyn more though. He wanted her to become his friend. She may have been playing hard to get, but sex could wait, for now. The thing that was more important to him, was that Caitlyn got along with her father. He may just have to pay her father a visit tomorrow and see what's really going on. Try to patch things up. The reason why Lloyd was such a womanizer was because he was naïve and too kind. What you saw with him is what you got. Everything had to be just right in the world, or at least those he talked with. His good lucks, with that kind of attitude was enough for any woman to fall for him. It wasn't like he used it to his benefit to sleep with ladies, it was all he ever knew with ladies. At a young age, they had started to flirt with him and he would flirt back. It really wasn't surprising that he had sex for the first time when he was sixteen. It felt good to him, but he also knew he was making women happy along with himself. There wasn't any harm in that.
Lloyd saw Milly exit the kitchen and went back to working. That was probably his cue to enter the kitchen and talk with Caitlyn. He walked in the kitchen and shortly spotted her. He walked up to her with his same, typical, smile. "Hey. I thought about what you said. I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to buy your affection nor was I giving you pity. If I came off that way I'm sorry." He looked at her with his big brown puppy like eyes. "I guess...I was just trying to get a small date with you so we could become friends." Okay he had been hoping to use that 'date' to get closer to being in her pants, but she didn't need to know that. "Maybe, the two of us go out on a friend date. Where we get to know each other more. You pay your share, I pay mine." He never thought that people would want to pay their share if someone else was willing to pay for them. For him coin just seemed to 'float' into his pockets. He knew people had less coin depending on their status, but he really had no idea how severe the differences where. He decided not to bring up the equal part. He didn't exactly understand the words she had used on it. If people wanted to pay first that was fine. Coin was just that coin. It was silly to fight over who was going to pay for what.
Lloyd rubbed the back of his neck and shrugged. "I know I may have came off the wrong way to you. Milly told me you're not exactly a fan of my stories. Especially the one I told tonight. I'm not sure why you don't like them, but that's your call. Stories are just one thing of who I am. You really shouldn't judge a person based on that, no?" He smiled, letting most things slide off his shoulders like he often did. "Hey, if you'd like why don't we go horse back riding tomorrow instead. Doesn't cost anything," Again Lloyd had no real idea that not everyone owned a horse. If they asked to borrow one of his horses, he had no problem doing so. "We can meet at the gates and take a ride through the meadows. I can ...or you can, pack a picnic then. Come on, what do you say?" He gave his charming smile once more.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank Caitlyn jumped when he started speaking to her, she hadn't heard him approach, and her heart jumped pounding in her throat. She had been too startled to realize at first that he had been apologizing to her and only after she was able to compose herself did she turn to even look at him. His apology seemed sincere for the most part, and she was at this point didn't have it in her to retort, especially after she caught sight of his brown puppy dog eyes. She was suddenly hit with the thought that Lloyd Middleton acted very much with the mentallity of a child. At least the naivety of how he seemed to look at the world... If it wasn't for the fact that he definately had a sexual record, she might have let herself be fooled by that metal image. But what she knew and heard kept a silent warning in the back of her head.
"You are saying that you want to be friends?" she muttered more from shock than anything else. This was just the man that laid the flirt on heavy. "I don't believe that there is really such a thing called a "friend date"." she added after a minute and brought her hand to her face. Logic and her words seemed once again to put a foot in her mouth and she sighed... "Forgive me... I get what you mean... I shouldn't let myself get distracted with the terminology..." she muttered and chuckled a bit.
Then he apologized about his story telling, and she realized she might have to sew Milly's mouth shut. Caitlyn sighed and realized that if he knew that she should explain why... somewhat... "Not everyone feels that dragons are evil creatures that need to be slain..." she whispered. "They see you and your group as a bunch of heroes, but all I see is someone who attacked a dragon that was in it's cave for the most part minding it's own business.... and that is if I could look past the fact that you made most, if not all of the story up..." She only knew from Hubert that most dragons were magic resistant, and injuries that attackers received tended to be just as resistant. needless a regular blade would not be enough to pierce their armor... but this was also knowledge she didn't feel that most people needed to know...
She bit her lip and sighed... "Look... you seem like a good guy, and I kinda went off the deep end with out giving you a chance to explain." she muttered sinking at his comment about judging people. "Here you are, apologizing, and I realize that I was a little in the wrong as well..." she wouldn't say what Milly had ordered her to do, or the fact that he picked out a hobby that she enjoyed doing... "So, would it be acceptable that I agree...as an apology on my part? "

Lloyd nodded his head when she questioned about them becoming friends. He tilted his head when she mentioned she didn't believe there was a thing called 'friend date'. Why couldn't there be? Maybe he really didn't use the right words, but that's how he saw dates when he was with someone he wanted to be friends with. Though it was rare for him to just go out on anything with just himself and one other person. People tended to tag along no matter what he said. In reality those people where just tagging along, hoping for a free meal. The women tagging along hoping to sleep with him. Secretly they all were hoping they would get pregnant so their parents could inform the Middleton's and force Lloyd to marry them. Their lives would get a lot better. So far, there were no little Lloyd's running about. Nor did he realize that is what they wanted.
"Hm?" Lloyd tilted his head barely making out her whispers of how not everyone sees the dragons as evil creatures. That there, was probably a pretty valid point. Dragons where pretty exciting though, truth be told. Many would be afraid of them or wish them dead. If the dragons, honestly weren't attacking humans, and most did not, he had no problem with them. Telling that he had slain one, well that just made him look good. Then, she mentioned that he had made the story up. Lloyd actually found himself grinning and laughing a bit. He shrugged a bit and nodded his head. "You're right. The story I told this evening, well nearly any of them, I was never there. My parents refuse to have me even leave the city. Hell, it was a bitch to get them to let me keep leaving the estate. Going on adventures like in my stories? Yea, that wouldn't go over well." He smirked. He honestly wasn't sure what to feel about being called out, but in a way it felt good. It sure would be nice to be friends with someone that he didn't have to share stories with. There was always so much more one could talk about besides adventures that he had never been on. Though he did feel a little guilty for being caught. "I get what you're saying though, about dragons. I didn't mean to come off like that. Though if I ever did see a dragon, there's no way I'd take it down. I'd probably be too much in awe." This guy surely never stayed unhappy for long.
Lloyd's lips parted as he was shocked that she was apologizing in her own way. A gentle smile soon appeared. Once more he nodded his head. "It would be more than an apology, Kitten." Lloyd decided Kitty wasn't bad, but Kitten actually worked better. It sounded close to her real name, it was just so much cuter. "So, do you want to plan for the picnic or do you want me to? It's purely up to you." She didn't say she needed a horse, so he assumed she would be bringing one of hers. "And you pick the time of day we go on horseback and where to eat our picnic." He knew that at least two of his family guards would tail him. That was, unless, he would be able to sneak his horse out of his stables before anyone saw him. That would be tricky. Surely there would be something he could tell his parents on why he was taking his horse out. He didn't mind the guards, but it sure did feel like they were babysitting him. He could hear it now if they knew. Lloyd Scott Middleton! Are you crazy! You know nothing about her besides the fact she's a magic user! She probably is luring you out of the city to kill you.
Lloyd sighed as the thoughts in his head. Nobody was going to kill him if they were friends. It was a common excuse his parents would tell him to try to make him be afraid. It just wasn't how he saw the world though. Perhaps he'd have to see what Nana thought. She was always more willing on listening to Lloyd's ideas and telling him to go for it.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
He took what she said in fairly good humor, she was surprised to admit. He didn't balk or grow angry at the fact that she pointed out that his story was made up, instead she found that they might share a common interest. The desire to go on an adventure. She wasn't going to openly admit that though, not at this point. Maybe, it would be something nice to talk about, if she could move past the warning bells that rang in her head. Until then, he needed to know nothing about her desire to drop everything and explore the lands around them. It was a nice mental tangent that she found herself growing lost in some thoughts and daydreams about what she would do to travel. It nearly went over her head when he mentioned that he would in reality be awed by the presence of a dragon. She smiled at that thought and considered the possibility that he would have a chance to encounter one. She bit her lip, she would wait for now, before introducing him to Hubert, she realized. It would probably be the wisest idea for all of them. especially after he called her kitten. She wasn't sure how she felt about that nickname... and didn't need to run the risk that Hubert might gow annoyed with her uncertainty. Not having very many friends, nicknames were rare, and one from him made her a little uneasy. She didn't feel close enough that he had a right to use one... But she was distracted from saying something again, when he like a kid with a cookie, started to put the plans together for tomorrow and asking what she wanted to do for tomorrow. She bit her lip, realizing in his own way he was treading water... " I am not one for really planning things..." she admitted after a minute. In fact, she hated planning things out, she was a very impulsive person when she didn't sit down and think. She didn't want to take advantage of him, especially after the dig she made against him earlier in the room, about being equal... "But I will do what I can, if you would prefer..." she brought her hand to her face. "As to when... afternoon might be best," that was often when she could get away from the house, since her father was often busy... it would be less likely he would notice who she was spending her afternoon with.

Lloyd couldn't have been any happier upon hearing Caitlyn agree for tomorrow. To work out the details and went to meet up. At one they would meet at the gates with their horses. He talked with Caitlyn a little while longer, before he excused himself to head back to his group. Realizing he had been neglecting his friends there. He chatted with his friends a bit longer until it neared midnight. He took one of the ladies back home with him and slept with her. Having sex nearly every night, you'd think he would grow bored of it. As long as he had a different beauty he had fun.
In the morning, Lloyd awoke with the woman still snuggled up against him. He smiled softly and kissed the top of her forehead as he carefully got out of bed and did his best not to wake her. It was not uncommon for a servant to see a woman leave Lloyd's room needing help finding the exit or trying to find Lloyd again. The servants where told to always escort the ladies out of the estate without them seeing Lloyd.
Lloyd dressed, after showering, throwing on a fitted shirt along with his typical pants. He brushed his hair and this time he put it in a loose ponytail. Knowing he was going horseback riding, it was just easier to have his hair pulled back when riding. He headed to see his Nana, the one person that he had seen every day of his life since he was born. She was the one to take care of him. He felt closest to her over his own parents. Which that guilt him. He knocked on Nana's door and when he was told to enter he did. She was an aging woman. Older than his mother, but she had her experience raising children before she was hired to raise Lloyd. Which landed her a cushioned room for the rest of her life in with the Middleton's. "Good morning, Nana. How are you doing?" He walked over to her and kissed her gently on her cheek.
"Good morning, Lloyd." Nana only called Lloyd without his title when his parents weren't around. Lloyd hated it when someone he cared for so much should call him Lloyd. She agreed. To her, Lloyd was like a son. Sadly she was restricted on the things she could teach him. "I am doing well. I heard you brought another young lady to your room. I wish you would not sleep around like that." She frowned slightly. "What is it you need?"
Lloyd looked down to the floor when Nana mentioned his sleeping around. He didn't like not pleasing her, but the women he did sleep with, well he wanted to please them too. Either he pleased Nana or he pleased the women. Nana was always going to love him, so he ended up going to please the ladies instead. He chose to ignore the statement and not address it. "I, well I want to take a new friend on a horseback ride, but...well I don't want the guards to follow. Do you think you can help?" He asked.
Nana studied Lloyd and shook her head. "I will not. Lloyd, you know it is dangerous outside of the city. It took so much persuasion to get you to go to taverns by yourself. Going outside the city walls without guards, I cannot accept that."
Lloyd gave her his typical puppy eye look. However, it wasn't working. "And I'm guessing if I were to just try to sneak off, you'd alert the guards by the time I got to the stables." He mumbled. He knew Nana and that is exactly what she would have done. He looked around trying to come up with something, anything. "You know I'm able to take on plenty of the guards here. I'm better than they are."
"No. You maybe better than some, but you do not look around to make sure you stay safe." Nana studied Lloyd sternly, before she left her room to inform the guards and his parents of what he was planning on doing. She didn't always enjoy what she did, but she had to protect him. He was naïve and always thought the best of people.
Lloyd cursed a bit mentally. This was not how it was suppose to go. He had to act swiftly. He opened Nana's window and climbed down the balcony from the second story. Swiftly heading to the stables and mounting his horse, only to be stopped by two guards. "Ah hey." He grinned. "I'm just going for a stroll with my horse." He tried to wiggle his way out but was unable. The three guards followed him, closely. He hated being babysat. He rode to the bakery and bought a few treats for the picnic. Then he headed to the gates to wait. He was a little early, but it gave him time to figure out what to say to Kitten about the guards.
