Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd frowned at how Caitlyn seemed to realize she should go back home. What she said did make sense, and he didn't want her to get into trouble. He pouted a little with his big, brown eyes and then nodded his head. "All right. I don't want you to get into trouble with your father. Say hello to him for me," Lloyd smiled once more. He was a bit sadden to know his and Caitlyn's time together was cut short, but there was not much he could do about it. He was sure he would see her again at the tavern if he just kept an eye out for her. Lloyd helped pack up the picnic once they were all finished eating. He rode into town with the small group. "I guess this is where we say our adieu's for now. I'll see you later, Lady Caitlyn." Lloyd smiled softly as he looked at Caitlyn. "Take care."
Lloyd turned his attention back to the old man. "I don't think I ever got your name. I'm Lloyd," He spoke as he dismounted his horse and walked along side the man. "What town do you come from?" Lloyd was hoping to hear an adventure or two though he wasn't sure the old man would be up for it.
Alan would have loved to roll his eyes at Lloyd, but dare not. That was not how the 'old man' acted. "My name is James and the town I come from is Humbolt." At least the town name was the real name on where he did come from, though he hadn't been to that town in over nearly ten years. Not since the incident involing his family. "Not a large town at all. Rather small. Everyone knows everyone. It's different than this big city, that's for sure. No nobles where I come from." Alan could tell Lloyd was going to be annoying and rather difficult. Not the kind of difficult of things being hard, but too chatty intead. Alan hated talking.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, James." Lloyd smiled. Only one guard was following nearby now. The other two probably went back home. That was nice. "Humbolt huh...I don't think I have ever heard of that town before. Real small, huh? Have you traveled much in your years?" Lloyd asked as they reached the market district and started to shop around. Lloyd buying whatever the old man asked for without a second thought.
Alan knew he shouldn't have been surprised when Lloyd was hoping to hear tales of adventures. There were plenty of nobles that where interested in such tales which is why they always listened to bards. "I have done very little traveling. Just to neighboring towns really for trade. Only reason I am traveling now is my wife passed away and I wanted to see the world before I died."
"Wow, that sounds like fun, for now I mean. I ah, well I guess I should say I'm sorry about your wife." Lloyd nearly forgot about that part, or was it perhaps more that he just didn't hear that part. It was the adventure he was hoping to hear. Lloyd thought about suggesting he travel with the old man, but doubted his parents would agree to such a thing. He already pushed his luck with plenty of things. He realized all too soon that it seemed they were done with the market district and where now standing in front of an inn. "Here," Lloyd handed the old man a small coin purse. "This should easily cover a week's stay at the inn. If you ned anything else just ask for Lloyd Middleton. I'll find a way and get back to you. I hope you take care and again if you need anything let me know." Lloyd smiled gently.
Alan nodded his head. "Thank you. You have been so kind, Lord Lloyd. If I need anything I'll be sure to seek you out. Oh, and I know you said that Caitlyn and yourself where just friends, but you two do make a cute couple." Alan didn't care if they made a cute couple or not. He had seen the way Caitlyn was acting and it seemed she didn't care to be in the pressense of Lloyd, so why not see the amusement by trying to put those two together.
Alan walked into the inn and paid for the first day and night at the inn. He rarely paid more than a night at a time, unless it was real busy. Thing was, he never knew when he had to book it and get out of the city. He headed to his room and took off his mask and the make up he wore. Revealing a rather young man near the age of twenty. "Nobles are such idiots." Alan chuckled as he sat down at the small table in the room. He poured the coin purse out and saw that there was plenty of coin to go around. This would easily last him a full month. "And I didn't even have to steal it this time. Heh, Lloyd Middleton, you sir, have the mind of a toddler." He smirked as he leaned back in his chair. "Dumbass."
Lloyd headed back to his estate. Already here waiting to talk to him was his parents. They lectured him about going out without telling them. How it was not safe to be outside the walls. How he shouldn't go alone. He was sentenced to his room and was put on 'high alert' Meaning the guards and servants would keep a sharp eye on him to try and escape.
Lloyd laid down on his bed and grumbled. He was a full grown man and yet his parents could still ground him. He really didn't care that he had royal blood in him and that he needed to be protected just in case. Or how people would love to kidnap him for ransom. He put his arms behind his head and just starred at the ceiling. He was so niave because he was sheltered so much by his parents. The fear of something ever happening to Lloyd was enough to have them shelter him. It was bad enough in their eyes that they even allowed him to go out into the taverns every night.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
Caitlyn nodded when Lloyd reluctantly said his good byes..."I will, Thank you for spending time with me..." she didn't know what to think or feel beyond guilt that she had lied to the noble... With this realization she scolded herself. She felt like she was robbing a kid of candy... and then she realized in this situation that that she was the candy. And nearly choked on her drink when that thought hit her brain. Luckily at this point Lloyd was already taking care of the old man, and she didn't have to explain why she started choking. It had been several minutes in the making but Caitlyn finished packing the food and picnic items back up and the guards prepared to leave with Lloyd. Caitlyn paused stopping them. She had promised them the food and held out the basket to them, feeling that it was the best option at the time. She held back from the group, following them long enough till she was in familiar territory and then broke away from the group to stop at a ravine and take a short break to rest and refill her water container. She didn't rest long, just long enough that the others could enter the city before her and no one make the connection that she was out with the romancing Middleton. While she waited for time to pass, she tried to ignore the unease she felt for this being the first time she remained outside the village on her own. She froze when she heard some noise in the water. She froze staring in shock when she something dancing on top of the water... In only a matter of a few seconds she had been mesmerized by the creature that danced before her oblivious for the most part to the sudden flair of power in her core that reacted in response to the water being. The creature danced oblivious to her her presence up until Caitlyn tried to move closer to it and a branch snapped under her foot... The water creature froze in it's actions glanced at her and disappeared into the water. Caitlyn immediately felt the pull of the magical beings power disappear and her magic backlash in anger that she failed to reach out a contract to it. She huddled clutching her stomach in pain. The pain disappeared after a minute and Caitlyn lifted her head to see the watery figure sitting and staring at her from the water. Caitlyn blinked back in shock and the water creature reciprocated the action. She felt the magic flare in her stomach again and was shocked when the water creature came a little closer to her making noises like a babbling creak. Caitlyn furrowed her brow in confusion and the creature started chittering more excitedly. Caitlyn blinked astonished when the creature somehow managed to activate her magic and bound itself to her. Caitlyn cried out from the sudden flux of power and blacked out for a minute before coming to and realizing what happened. Caitlyn tireed and figuring enough time had passed reluctantly mounted her horse and headed back into the village. She wondered just what she had seen there and it gave her an opportunity not to think about the disruption that Lloyd had brought into her life. She let her mare guide her home, and felt a sense of pride, even if it was from sheer luck, that she managed to encounter a magical creature and was returning home unscathed. More proud then what she had felt in a long time. A feeling that exemplified when she when she was able to return home and no one knew where she had been . She returned home to a myriad of questions, managing to give a reasonable and believable explanation as to where she had been before disappearing up into her room. That was where she remained worn from the backlash of her magic. She slept solidly through the next day.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd had been stuck the entire next day at the estate. The only times he was allowed to leave his room where mainly for meals and to be lectured once more by his parents. Lloyd didn't blame his nana though. How could he? Nana was great to him and she was just trying to protect him, he got that. Just he wished she'd understand that he didn't need all this protection. Same with his parents. He hated being locked inside his room, unable to even leave to have fun at night.
Lloyd awoke the following morning. He did his typical morning routine and once he finished he saw that there weren't as many guards babysitting him. That was good. Hopefully that meant he could go to the taverns later that night. He spent the morning sparring with the guards. It was in his punishment the other day that he couldn't spar with them until he wasn't 'grounded'. Thankfully, Lloyd's punishments never lasted too long. He was able to talk with the guards as well and he found out his parents where actually busy today. That was great for him. It meant he could sneak out a little easier since they had taken a few of the guards with them.
Lloyd knew exactly what he wished to do that afternoon. He was going to go see Caitlyn's father, Mr. Wallace and see if there was anything he could do to bring father and daughter close. He wondered how Caitlyn was doing along with James. He figured James was doing well since he had not called for Lloyd since. Still, he worried about any of his friends, including the ones that used him at the tavern.
Lloyd headed out after telling the guards he was going to be in the city. He'd be good and stay in the city walls. The guards, like usual, still followed him, but only had about two to do so and those two guards stayed hidden and far away from Lloyd. Usually not even in their armor to help keep them from being noticed.
As Lloyd was leaving his estate, which was actually fairly close to the castle, a loud explosion was heard. One that sent Lloyd falling forward. Lloyd wiped his head around to look over at the castle before he slowly stood up. The wind had been knocked out of him, but he worried about his parents. They were visiting relatives in the castle and that was where the explosion was. Lloyd took off running, the two guards pulled Lloyd back, telling him the knights of the castle would take care of things. That Lloyd needed to get back to the estate and into one of the hiding rooms.
"No! I'm not some damn coward!" Lloyd shook the two guards off and once more pressed forward to the castle. The knights that usually stood watch had already gone towards the explosion in the courtyard. Lloyd could make out a tall figure, a magic user, by the looks of things.
"Ah, see, this wouldn't have gone the way it did, if you only gave me what I asked for. Such a shame really to have to blow up the courtyard." The magic user chuckled as someone handed him an artifact. The magic user looked over at Lloyd. "Ah a new face. Perhaps you will heed my warning. My name is Master Sen. I am gathering all of the old artifacts, the Crystalized Fragments of Power. Any who stand in my way will be destroyed. Either you are with me or you are against me. Pass that along." Sen smirked as he then seemed to just disappear in a cloud of smoke along with the others that didn't belong in the castle.
"Master...Sen?" Lloyd tilted his head, but shook his head and went to find his parents. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured by the explosion and he found them soon enough. He hugged his parents and talked a bit. However, Lloyd was thinking more on the artifacts. It seemed this Sen guy was going to use those for ...something not good. He had been told by his Nana a story of the old artifacts that helped put the current royal family on the throne. He was told the artifacts where made by Gods and could harvest unbelievable power.
Later that night, Lloyd headed to Milly's tavern. He knew everyone would probably be talking about what happened earlier in the day at the courtyard at the castle. He needed to talk to Caitlyn. Most would see this as something bad, but for him he saw an adventure that could truly be his. He wanted to help stop this Sen guy, but he knew he couldn't do it alone. Caitlyn wanted to go on an adventure and she was a magic user. It was kind of the, now or never moment.
Lloyd sat at the bar waiting to see if Caitlyn would show up that night or not. Plenty of Lloyd's friends where trying to get him to sit with them and tel stories. He was not in the mood for that. However he did still spend his money to order up drinks for everyone. Though it did seem like the people of the city really could use the spirited kind of Lloyd that evening. With what had happened earlier in the day many of them just wanted to forget. For Lloyd though, he wanted to make sure this Sen guy didn't gather all those Crystalized...Power of things. He was sure the knights and many of the guards would be out searching for Sen, but there had to be a different way to go about it to make sure Sen was stopped.

Alan Pratt Drayton
Thief
Alan spent his first real day in the city by stealing. He had either done his five finger discount, or he had set up a small table and did tricks. While people where too busy looking at what he was doing he was stealing things right from under their noses. Funny thing about people, if their attention was on one thing, they seemed to forget that other things around them could be happening. Alan truly felt like he was living like a King here in the city. Just a shame he knew his time was probably limited before he was found out, like always.
The next morning, Alan woke late. He awoke to the sound of an explosion. This caused Alan to wonder if he should ditch the city. He had learned explosions usually caused chaos. There was plenty of panic in the streets. Which led him to take advantage. Hey, everyone was out for themselves, so why shouldn't he profit from people letting their fear get to them. Alan headed outside and used his thievery skills to take from the panicked people.
That evening, Alan headed to a tavern to drink up. He had made more than enough already in this city that he was thinking about leaving the next day or two. It was better to leave while ahead of things than to be found out and wanted. Alan noticed Lloyd at the bar. He chuckled a little seeing he was just handing out free drinks it seemed. He had to get in on this. "Hey!" Alan put his arm around Lloyd's shoulder. "Names Alan and I came here to have a bit of fun." He smirked. Lloyd didn't talk much and that seemed unusual, not that Alan really cared though. He was handed a drink and he took a seat at two tables away. Hey, why should he worry about what was going on through Lloyd's head when he got free drinks?

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
Caitlyn, like many others awoke to the sound of the explosion, her home being close enough to the palace that she felt the walls shudder in the aftershocks of the initial boom. Her body responded on high alert, noticing another form of magic lingering in the air and she despite her groggy nature jumped up out of bed and ran to the nearest window... To her dismay she realized that what ever had been damaged was not in line of sight from her bad room and she felt her heart drop, because that meant it was more likely the castle. She ran out her room, across the hall, invading the space of a just as horror struck brother. They stared unsure what to do, until she felt her magic flare in annoyance at the other magic in the air... but just as quickly it was gone and Caitlyn felt her knees give out beneath her, from the stress of what just happened and she hadn't fully restored her energy stores from the contract she made with the water being. She was worried, she realized after a minute, her brother startled by her weakness, panicked and ran for help. She wondered who would attack the castle, and not even mentally would she admit she was worried about the childlike noble that wanted to be her friend. She hoped that he was alright, even if she wanted little to do with him, she realized that she felt it would be horrible if that man had been hurt in the explosion. But as soon as she realized those thoughts she pushed them away. She was not gonna worry about that man, he had others that cared about him more. She had Milly and her own family to care about, and right now that seemed more important to her. She hoped that her father had stayed home this very morning. She stumbled back to her feet to check on her father. She hoped that he hadn't been hurt. She found herself praying her her deity that he was alright. She met the servants her brother had sent up stairs for her and asked them about her father. Non of the would give her a solid answer and she wouldn't settle down till she knew that he was okay. Finally they conceded and promised to go get him if she would return back to her room to rest. Her father assured her that she was alright a few minute later and she devoted the day to finish resting and restoring her energy levels. It was against her father's advisement that she went to the inn to check on Milly. She saw his reasoning this time, the village was shaken up about about the attack on the palace or what they found out what the palace courtyard, by a magic user. She could tell by the glares and jaunts she heard just walking to the tavern Milly's family ran she probably should stay as much out of sight as she could possibly be. So she sat in the kitchen as Milly flitted about, trying to help everyone with their goal to forget their worries and the bad things that had happened. Caitlyn sat patiently, knowing that if the alcohol and anger didn't mix well, and did little to not draw attention to herself. She did her best to keep herself off the radar, and Milly, surprisingly took it in stride making sure to joke and reassure Caitlyn that things would be alright.... Caitlyn couldn't help smiling, and offered to help milly at least what she could with cooking. Even Milly's parents didn't complain when Caitlyn told them that she couldn't just sit there, and she couldn't entertain herself like she could on normal nights.

Lloyd was getting restless and worried that he had not seen Caitlyn yet. Of course he knew people where shaken from the events earlier in the day, but he knew no one seemed to have been too badly hurt. Or at least what he was told. He wondered if she wasn't going to come at all. Thing of it was, he wanted to leave that night. He didn't have time to sit and wait. The longer he waited, the more of a chance his parents or the guards finding out his intentions on leaving. He couldn't risk them knowing. He loved his parents dearly, but this was something he had to do.
Lloyd stood up and thought he heard Caitlyn's voice coming from the kitchen. Most people wouldn't think about going into the kitchen at a tavern uninvited, but Lloyd wasn't most people. He headed to the kitchen door and peeked his head inside. He looked around and spotted Caitlyn. He smiled a bit and walked over to her. "Kitten, I have to talk to you. Privatly. It's rather urgent." Lloyd looked at her with his brown eyes giving her a puppy eye look hoping to coax her into talking with him privatly.
"It's about our adventure and with what happened today." Lloyd hinted at what he wanted to talk about. He felt a bit uneasy, but excited at the same time. This would be the start of his adventure. Hopefully Caitlyn would come with him. Going it alone would not be easy, but he was sure he would be able to find others that would want to join on this journay to stopping Sen. Surely he couldn't be the only one that wanted to. Let alone, finding those old artifacts seemed rather fun. The main thing he knew was that they needed to secure at least one artifact and keep it away from Sen. As long as the eight did not join together, they would not work. At least, from what he could remember. Perhaps he should have talked to his Nana more. She might have informed him more about the Crystal Fragments of Power. Then again, if he had, he was sure she would think something was up. Though he doubted anyone in his estate would think that Lloyd would honestly just get up and head out on an adventure. The only ones he had to worry about was the guards that were with him and Caitlyn the other day. They heard him talking about an adventure.

Caitlyn jumped when Lloyd called out to her in the kitchens. She didn't think that he would find her, she didn't think he would be here when his family ,no matter how distant the relation, had just been attacked. But she also felt a sense of relief in the fact that he was alright. She she had to admit that it was a relief to see that he was okay. With his child-like mentality she had to admit that she would be upset if he had been hurt. He trusted people a little too much. "You want to what?" she asked when the rest of his words hit her ears. "Whats this "our" adventure." She thought she had set him straight on that line of thought but her thoughts instantly dropped when she heard him mention what happened before. He had definitely peaked her interest with that comment and she looked at Milly who waved her away with a reluctant smile. She could tell that Milly wanted the information too. She glanced around the kitchen. "There's no where really private," she muttered. If it wasn't for all the anger and frustration she would have taken him to the alley outside the kitchen door, but Caitlyn didn't trust that there would be some people who were bitterly waiting for her to possibly make an appearance. Fear brought out the bad in all people. "I mean, not that would be safe right now. You know being magic user and all" she folded her arms across her chest not because she was scared or defenseless, but more from the fact she was uneasy. She didn't like that she was always associated with the bad events that happened. "but I guess we can talk a minute... let me see if there is an area that we will be less overheard." she muttered though she found that unlikely. People were too curious, and the fact that Lloyd sought her out and was talking to her in the kitchen had already drawn some eyes.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd heard Caitlyn say 'our' adventure, but he choose to ignore it instead. The way she had said it even he should have caught on, but he had not. Or better yet, choose not to. He could tell she was a little reluctant. Why, he had no idea. Of course he knew Caitlyn was a magic user, but he did not add things up. He didn't think people would get upset at every magic user there was just because of the actions of one stupid, and foolish magic user. If he wouldn't do it, why would someone else? That was his thinking. "I don't care if you're a magic user." He thought he mentioned that a few times and that she'd know that by now. He shook his head as if to say let's drop this since this has nothing to do with what I need to talk to you about.
Lloyd pulled Caitlyn off to the side in the kitchen, choosing to keep his voice down, hoping no one would hear him. "I got a look at who attacked the castle this morning. Some guy that calls himself Master Sen. Anyway, apparently he's after something that I thought no longer existed. Crystalized ...power...fragments or something." He truly had forgotten fully what they were called, but believed what he said would get the point across. "Apparently the royal family had been protecting one of the eight relics. I don't think they wanted to part with it and thus Sen showed his power. He escaped with the relic they had. He needs to be stopped." Lloyd looked at her. "I know he's going to be wanted, I do. However, what if he does get those power crystals, all of them. It wouldn't be good. Why don't you and I head out and find them. Whatever ones we can. As long as one is missing he can't use them, right?" Lloyd had no idea if Caitlyn truly knew what he was talking about or not. "Look, I'm going after those relics. I'm going to leave tonight. I'd love for you to come with me, Kitten."
"The longer I stay, the higher chances my parents will find out. And the higher chances I wont be able to get out of the city. It's a now or never kind of thing. We should take this chance and go for it." Lloyd purely thought this nothing more but an epic adventure. One to call his own. Though personally, he hoped there would not be any dragons that he would have to slay. From the stories he heard and the ones he had made up, well dragons weren't an easy thing to kill. Nor would he want to attempt it. Thieves and bandits, sure he knew he could handle those. Even some monsters he was sure of.

Alan Pratt Drayton
Thief
Alan had noticed Lloyd get up and go into the kitchen. That was odd. As if it wasn't odd enough to have a royal come to a tavern like this. Alan shrugged a bit as he stood up and headed into the kitchen himself. A few of the staff tried to usher him out, but Alan wouldn't have it. He just needed to be in the kitchen long enough to figure out what Lloyd was doing. Alan managed to avoid the staff and was able to get close enough to Lloyd and Caitlyn to overhear something about the Crystalized Fragments of Power. He recalled his grandfather mentioning them. If he remembered correctly apparently an old Dwarven cavern that had long since been forgotten about was suppose to hold one of these great treasures.
Alan was escorted out of the kitchen and he went back to his seat. He pondered now. If some great magic user was questing these things, he'd have to gather them. If anything he could get a pretty hefty price for them, he was sure of that. Plus, he also didn't care much for magic users. So it would just be another added benefit of keeping something away from one. He smirked a little as he thought his plan through. He would go to the Dwarven cavern, get the relic and see who would pay the highest price for it. If that Sen guy had one already for sure, there were seven left. Though he had no idea if this Sen guy had more than one or not. He would have to make sure he sought out information about it later.
Alan also thought about contacting his grandfather. He hadn't seen him in nearly ten years, but knew the old coot was still alive. If his grandfather knew of one location about these relics, surely he would know more, right? Perhaps he should focus solely on that cavern first. See if it's real or not for his own eyes. If the information was wrong, then there was no need in seeking out his grandfather since his information was useless. As long as this little, new found, adventure would leave him wealthy he truly did not care how he got the relics. Maybe with luck he'd be able to kill that damn magic user Sen. Perhaps the royals would offer him a status of nobility and all the coin he could ever imagine. Oh that would be fantastic! To have to never worry about stealing again. Oh, okay, Alan knew he would miss stealing and would continue to do so no matter how much coin he had. He loved having everything for himself.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
It only took a minute for her to comprehend what he said to her. Only a minute for her to nearly blurt out a question of his sanity before she caught herself and looked at him earnestly. There was an honesty in his words and expression. He surprisingly what being very honest and blunt, and surprisingly more so keeping all actions that could be associated with his romantic nature aside. She bit the inside of her cheek and set aside her view of him as a child, and saw as someone genuinely concerned about what might happen to humanity if the artifacts had been taken. Caitlyn rubbed her head, realizing that he had a point. Something she realized more clearly when he didn't tell her clearly what he was talking about and she had to figure it out... eight framents... it took her brain a little too long to make the connection. He was referring to the Crystalized Fragments of Power. She felt dread run through her veins. " The Crystal Fragments?!" SHe didn't wait foro lloyd to answer before moving to her next thought. " Me saying no isn't going to stop you is it?" she muttered and brought her hand to her face again feeling a nasty headache develop. He was prepared to leave tonight, no matter what answer she gave him, and that left her uneasy. The world would eat him alive... But he wasn't her responsibilty. But she was able to use this to prove that not all magic users were bad as well... It was a selfish thought, but a large motivator in her decision making process. Her only concern was that she was still not one hundred percent with the drain she had felt on her magic. She might hinder him at this point. " You have to go tonight?" she asked a little more timidly. How was he planning to do this, how was he gonna pay, leave the watch of his guard, everything. Caitlyn was more than curious and looked him in the eyes not bothering to hide the fact that she was excited too.

Lloyd was worried with the way that Caitlyn was acting. Maybe she didn't want to go. "Huh, yea. I'm going with or without you. Something needs to get done and I just can't stand around and do nothing." Lloyd studied her. Maybe there was a hint of her wanting to go. He wasn't sure. "Yea. I can't stay. The stable boy at the estate, he's siding with me on this. It's because of him I was able to get everything ready. He has the horse waiting for me outside the walls already. Just waiting for me to meet him." He had packed what he could without being caught throughout the afternoon. Whatever else was needed, the stable boy took care of. "I can't risk my parents finding out that I'm going to do this." He worried that the longer he stayed, the more people would talk and the sooner his parents would find out. Part of him was worried that the kitchen staff here would over hear and relay the information swiftly to his parents.
"Come on, Caitlyn, please. I can't do this without you." Lloyd would try to do it without her, but he knew he needed someone else with him to truly get this adventure. "Look, we can decide more as we go. If you need to gather a few things I can meet you by that tree that we had our picnic the other day." Lloyd seemed anxious. He was. He had never done anything like this before and he knew the trouble he could get into. Still, he would rather risk what he could to help protect the world than to stay here, watching it go to hell.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
He really wanted her to come, and she was not surprised by his answers. She had much more freedom than the average nobleman's daughter, she could protect herself and her contract to a dragon made matters a little easier for her. She could only imagine what it would be like for a Nobleman that was related to the royals. Lloyd had a decent track record for getting in and out of trouble, but his parents had a record for growing wise. If lloyd was going to escape, he needed to go as soon as possible. Someone needed to stop Sen, that was sure, and it surprised her that Lloyd felt like he was the man to do it. She wondered if with his naive perception of the world, if he really could. But that didn't matter if he didn't get out and as far as he could before they noticed he was gone. Caitlyn sighed. She questioned if she would be helpful to him or not and worried that at this point she would just weigh him down... But she didn't feel right about saying no, in fact she felt something in her magic telling her to go... She paused a minute and looked at the kitchen, and Milly who stood with her back to them... Milly would tell her to go, milly would tell her to do a lot of other things too, but she knew Milly would believe. She would tell Caitlyn that Lloyd didn't stand a chance on his own. Milly felt Caitlyn's eyes on her and turned with a smile, confirming that with a wave of her hand. She had been eavesdropping, which she made painfully clear to Caitlyn. Caitlyn sighed and turned to Lloyd. " I'll go..." She muttered... "I have to get some stuff first, but Ill meet you there." She looked at the back exit and then the doors that lead to the room everyone was drinking in. Sighing she turned back to Lloyd. "But if you want me to get out of here quicker, I am going to need some help... " She fiddled with her fingers and didn't exactly meet his gaze... " I was going to wait until everyone finished drinking to head home... people are not feeling to friendly towards me right now..." She hated that she was even thing about asking him for help, but she was not stupid. If they really did plan to leave it would be best. It would put a wrench in matters if someone wanted to awake many of the guards because they decided that she had a part in Sen's actions.. Which those thoughts led her to her next train of thought... what would her just up and disappearing do... Many would believe her to be guilty. Her father and her brother... they would likely be blamed... she rubbed her face. She didn't want to cause problems for her family, but if they succeeded then all blame would be removed from them. She believed everyone would be alright, her father would be in better social standing if she managed this. She'd go home, pack her things, and tell her father what she is going to do, with no mention of Lloyd. At least her father would have a way to defend himself and his name if eyes fell negatively on him.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd couldn't hide the grin that quickly formed at his lips when she agreed to go. "I'm so glad you're agreeing to this. I really do need you." Every adventure started somewhere and it truly did seem his and hers was going to be starting now. He was glad to know she would meet him at that tree, though it seemed she needed some help first. He wondered why people weren't friendly towards her, but then remembered it may have something to do with what Sen had done earlier. That was stupid. Why did people hate others for someone else's actions? It annoyed him. Everyone was different. Just because one idiot did something didn't mean that one should blame someone else. Blame the idiot.
"Hey, whatever it is you need, I'll do it. I can easily get everyone in the bar happy. Just gotta buy them a drink or two." Lloyd smiled. It was true, he had noticed people where always more than willing to be happy if he was going to be the one buying drinks for them. Besides, he wasn't about to let anything happen to his adventure buddy and friend. He was more focused on knowing they were going to be leaving soon enough. It never did cross his mind how his parents would feel or how Caitlyn's father would feel. Lloyd just assumed his parents would be upset with him, but get over it like they always had. He didn't know Caitlyn's father, and had hoped that they reconnected the past few days. If they hadn't, he really would need to talk to him after their adventure was over with. Make sure things would be all right.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
She sighed, she hoped that she was making the right decision. She knew, she felt, she needed to do something though, and while Lloyd was not her first choice of a traveling companion, she knew that it could be a lot worse. Lloyd and his ability to get under her skin made matters very complicated for her, but she also felt it was nothing she couldn't handle. She made up her mind, and she consoled herself with the idea that if the matters got rough she could always part her own way, if she needed too. " I just need to leave without making a scene... The best opportunity would be through the backdoor. Trying to walk through a room full of drunk people is not a good idea." She muttered and glanced at the back door. " People are angry, and they have a right to be, but that doesn't bode well for me. I wouldn't put it past others picking a fight, if they got the chance... and it's very possible that someone could be waiting for me to leave..." She didn't elaborate more than that, most people with a brain could gather what she was hinting at... or so she felt. She also had qualms about verbally asking someone to escort her or guard her, even if it was the few hundred feet beyond where most people would not openly confront her. It was also very likely that she was paranoid, and there was no one out there at all. But if she was wrong that again would cause many problems.

Lloyd Scott Middleton/ Alan Pratt Drayton
High ranking Noble / Thief
Lloyd tilted his head and then he understood. "Got'cha. All right. We'll head to your house first, but...lets just be sure to make it quick. Even I know my family's guards often follow me without my knowing." He shrugged a little. Of course he knew they followed him. From time to time he would see 'shadows' but could never find out who they were. They were always gone before he fully saw them. It really was an inconvenience for Lloyd to have his guards follow him even if he didn't wish it. His parents did. Still, he could never be upset with his parents for what they wanted, even if he didn't exactly agree to it.
Alan had been hanging around the kitchen door. He was doing his best to listen in, though it was hard. Between the talks of the kitchen staff and the conversations going on in the tavern, pin pointing one certain conversation was tricky. He heard something about a tree. He could only assume it was that tree he had met them when he was dressed up as the old man. So, they were going to be heading to that location tonight and leave. Guess he should get a move on himself.
Alan rushed out of the tavern and headed back to the inn he was staying at. He gathered his belongings which most where already packed. Knowing he may always have to ditch town at any given moment it was just easier for him to be this prepared. Once he had everything he grabbed his horse from the horse stables and headed out to that tree to wait. They would need him. He knew the locations of nearby towns and his way around forests and so forth. The bad thing was, he needed them too. No, he was going to use them. He wanted to get those Crystalized Fragments and turn them in for many, many coins. Hopefully enough to live the high life. Still, he thought he'd be a bit bored if he didn't steal so he wasn't going to give that up no matter how much coin he had.
Alan stayed on his horse, as he hid behind the tree. He would wait there until the other two where there. Though he worried now if they would really come this way. At least he could see the city gates from on top of the hill. It'd be hard to make out shadows, but that was what he was going to have to do. Along his way here he had already noticed Lloyd's stable boy with a horse. He kept an eye on him and moved back and forth from the tree a bit to keep an eye on him.
Lloyd walked along side Caitlyn towards her house. They didn't run into many others, though there was a small group of guys, three of them, that decided it was worth their time to talk shit to them. "Hey, it's the bitch mage. I bet she's working with Sen. We should just kill her right now." One of them spoke. Lloyd frowned and stepped ahead of Caitlyn to keep distance between her and the men. "Is that really any way to talk to a lady? Mage or not, you have no right to say such things. I saw first hand what Sen is like and there is no way, my friend would ever work with him. Mage or not." Another man gritted his teeth and spat towards Lloyd's feet. "A high ass noble like you hanging around a fucking mage. You really are just as dumb as they come, Lloyd. Come on guys, lets just get out of here."
Lloyd watched the guys leave and shook his head with a sigh. Why did people have to be like that? There was no need. Wasn't it clear that Caitlyn would do no such thing? Caitlyn was kind and caring from what he could see and would never use her magic to hurt others. Let alone aide someone so destructive. "I'm...sorry about them. I suppose we should keep going." Lloyd forced a smile which came easier than he thought it would.
