Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
Caitlyn prepared for the day as discreetly as she possibly could manage. She did fairly well, with Milly's help on getting the basics for the picnic settled before she had to return home to figure out what they were going to eat. In fact, she was grateful for her friend, because while Milly laughed the whole time at the situation, she never did once make Caitlyn uneasy. Escaping her father's notice was not nearly as easy a task. When she started filling a basket with enough food to feed far more than two people, the servants started talking and she knew that her father was likely not going to be far behind. She had an immediate change of plans, grabbing what she had already packed and her cloak and scurrying to the stables that housed her horse, a gentle white coated mare. She was young when she learned what she would consider the most important lesson she had ever known and that was that many did not recognize her, she realized, when she wore the hood of her cloak. It was her hair, the same color as her mother's that often was what gave her away, and when she covered it up, she blended quiet well with the population. She was grateful, that it was always just cool enough that she could get by with wearing her cloak, it was something that she wore on occasion. Especially today, she was fairly sure she didn't want people to notice and track her. She moved quickly, picking up several more items from some shops along the way till she reached the location she agreed to meet Lloyd. She held back at first, giving herself the option to back out if she still felt the desire to. She justified to herself that she just said she would go... That to her didn't mean she had too... but she had a pretty good idea how Lloyd might react when she didn't show up and thought about the risk of him seeking her out. She bit her lip and nearly resolved herself when she saw Lloyd show up, followed by guards. This sent her into a mild panic attack... Not for the reasons Lloyd might have thought, but for the simple fact that she nearly had allowed herself to forget that he was a high ranking noble. She clung onto her horse's reigns and doubled over feeling a little sick to her stomach. What did she get herself into, she kept asking herself in a mild panic. Lloyd Middleton... did she really believe that she could be his friend. Or that he really had interest in being just friends... Even if he was okay with this, his family would not be... she was stupid... very very stupid... She almost made the decision to flee back home, or better to Milly's. Sure Lloyd might look for them, but she and Milly could find a spot where he wouldn't find them. It seemed very rational to her... very, very, rational... She slipped off her horse and decided to guide her by the reigns back the way she came... at least that is what she planned until her horse caught sight of Lloyd and his equine company and made up her own mind dragging Caitlyn whom was too shocked to let go of the reigns a long with her.

Lloyd was starting to worry that Caitlyn just may not come. Perhaps it was the annoying guards. Of course they were annoying. "Why can't you guys just leave me alone." He mumbled as he could feel the stern looks they were all giving him. That only made him try to shrink into his horse, and if he could have he would have. At least then he'd have gotten away from them. He sighed as he waited for Caitlyn to finally show. He hadn't seen her at first, he had seen a horse with, what he assumed was her rider, walking next to her.
Lloyd dismounted his horse when the horse and the rider got closer. The guards on the other hand, one of them went in front of Lloyd, finding it suspicious that a rider was not riding her horse. "It's all right, guards." He frowned. He tried to get around the guard, but was unable. Instead, one of the other guards pulled Lloyd back. "Come on. This stuff gets old." He shook his head as he folded his arms. "You'll see that there is no threat what-so-ever."
"Do not come any closer. State your name or turn around and leave." The guard spoke down to Caitlyn. His job was to protect Lloyd from any and all threats no matter how big or small they were.
Lloyd rolled his eyes at the words the guard spoke. However, he had taken another look at the rider. Carefully looking, he caught just a glimpse of the red hair. "Aha! Hey stand down! This is my guest, my friend." Lloyd finally was able to push through and stand in front of the guards. "This is Lady Caitlyn." He looked at the guards annoyingly and then looked back at her. "I'm sorry about them. I did not plan on them attending. Sadly my plan kind of backfired. I tried to ditch them too, but they kind of know my antics." He shrugged a bit with a chuckle. "Anyway, if we ignore them, they aren't so bad. Though it is hard to get use to them being there." He mumbled about a few other things. Mainly about how annoying they were.
"Anyway!" Lloyd grinned. "I bought us a tasty treat for dessert. I hope you don't mind. I know you said you'd take care of things, but I just couldn't help but stop at the bakery." He smiled. "Though I'm not saying what I got. It'll be a surprise for after we eat. So why don't we mount our horses and head on out for our ride." Lloyd never stayed upset for long. If you even wanted to call earlier upset. It was more pouting than anything. Deep down he did understand why the guards where there it was their job. Well that's what he just knew. He didn't understand why he had to always have guards. However, he'd rather look at the bright side of things. Like getting to spend time with kitten. He wanted to know more about her and was really hoping she'd talk about her gift. Though he wouldn't press it.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
Caitlyn finally managed to regain control of her horse and her brain as he path was blocked by the guards that watched over Lloyd blocked her path. She stood there feeling an embarrassed blush rise to her cheeks, when the one who blocked her ordered her to state her name or leave... She was at a lost for words, she realized that she could still go, and was a bout to mutter apologies when Lloyd caught a glimpse of her hair, and announced who she was. She was beyond the point of no return she realized at that point and just gaped, luckily hidden by her hood, and watched Lloyd push himself forward. She stared, confused when he started apologizing about the guards, and she sighed. " You are a Middleton, with royal blood, of course you will have guards with you." She found herself snapping when she finally regained her composure and heard him comment about ditching them. " I hope that you would not be so careless that you really believe that running around with out them to be a good idea!" She felt bad for the guards, obviously they didn't have an easy job. " I am sorry," she muttered turning to the guard that stopped her a moment before. " My name is Caitlyn Imogene Wallace, I am the only child of Charles and Rebecca Wallace. I am sorry for the alarm and trouble I caused you." she spoke calmly. It was easier she realized to apologize than to rish their ire for the rest of the day she was going to be in their presence. Feeling that was the best she was going to give she turned to Lloyd and looked him over, unsure what to think. " I barely know you, calling us friends is a bit of a jump isn't it..." the sentence slipped out as her thoughts still focused on what just happened a few moments before. Once again she realized he was acting like a child, not thinking before he speaks or acts and she brought her hand to her head. She couldn't believe that she was snapping at him so quickly. But she figured it was better than her tongue slipping and telling him what she thought about his choice of clothing for the day... No those thoughts could stay to herself. That She bit her lip and looked around, she didn't know if her household servants were running about and was reluctant to lower her hood at this point. She pulled it back a bit so that she wasn't masked near as much and looked at him a little irked and then sighed... " Friends should be picked with great care...L" She froze, stopping before she said his name... He may have deemed a nickname for her... but she did not find herself to be on a first name basis. " L...Lots of people will take advantage of you is you don't..." All her anger dissipated quickly. Mostly because she forgot about it while she was to busy trying to keep a set boundary between them. It didn't help either, when he seemed so excited about picking up desert. He was rambling about it being a surprise and she found herself slightly smiling from how excited he seemed to be to moving forward with their day. She nodded when he mentioned that they should mount their horses and head out. She didn't need to be told twice and got back on the saddle of her horse. " Mr. Middleton, would you like to lead the way?" she asked with a grin. It was after all in her mind, his choice, since she was here as an apology.

Was she mad at him? Lloyd tilted his head to the side as he tried to figure out everything. Of course there would be guards with him, she had said. He didn't understand really why there had to be guards, but it seemed Caitlyn had the same idea as everyone else in his family on why there should be guards near him. She was lecturing him. Calling him careless to believe that running around without them was a good idea. He wasn't careless. He knew how to take care of himself. He didn't need to be babysat. He frowned, trying to figure out what to even say to this. Should he just ignore it? Yea, she probably just didn't understand where he was coming from. That was it. No worries. Then, she apologized to the guards and properly introduced herself. "See, she's good." Lloyd looked at the guards whom where feeling a bit of relief knowing that Caitlyn understood why they were there. Then Lloyd had to open his mouth to remind them he still didn't get the real reason.
"Oh come now! It is not too much for me to believe that we will become great friends, now is it?" Lloyd grinned. "You'll see, we'll be calling each other friends in no time." Lloyd always befriended everyone sooner or later. Even the guards that he didn't like at the moment for following him, he would still call them his friends. When he was at the estate they would play card games together or they would spar with each other. Then, Caitly said that friends needed to be picked with great care. "Friends do not need to be picked with great care. That would leave so many people out there then, that I wouldn't be friends with. The way I see it everyone should be friends." Once more, Lloyd tilted his head to the side. "Take advantage?" Why would anyone take advantage of him? He had so many friends that called him nice, or great, or thing of that sort. "I'm not sure what you mean be that." He tried to figure it out, but kept coming up with nothing. "If someone needs my help I'm more than willing to offer it."
Lloyd walked over to his horse, mounting him after Caitlyn had mounted hers. Glad that they were going to be on their way. Whatever happened moments ago would be in the past. They were back in the here and now. "Ouch...please just Lloyd. No need to use that. Mr. Middleton is my father." Lloyd smirked a little. He hated it when once he became friends with someone to call him by that name. It was Lloyd. All they needed to address him as. He nodded his head as he began to lead the way.
After about ten minutes of starting out on riding their horses, Lloyd spoke up. "Did you talk to your father this morning?" He really did hope that she and her father had worked things out. He had already thought that if she hadn't by the end of their outing, he would seek Mr. Wallace out. Caitlyn was a stunning woman. She also wasn't like others either. She seemed to be a lot different. A mind of her own. Telling him things he hadn't heard before. He then realized, that bringing up her father might not be the best idea. At least at the moment, no matter how curious he was. "I shouldn't have brought that up. I do want the two of you to be on better terms, but well, I suppose it's not the best topic. How about this instead," Lloyd smiled softly. "How was the rest of your evening. I saw Lady Milly around you a fair amount. She seems like a great friend to have."

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank Caitlyn felt it... the vein Milly always jokingly accused her having on her head and she bit her lip. Why didn't he get what she was trying to tell him. "That may be true," probably not... she mentally told herself, he was trouble her instinct told her. She wasn't going to keep talking about it, it wasn't her problem, If he wanted to allow people to take advantage of his personality, and only be there so long as he handed out freebies that was his choice. One day, he might learn the same lesson she did, she just hoped it would not be as painful... It was a hard lesson when you considered people your friends and you saw everyone abandon you when you felt you needed them the most. She sighed, realizing that they both had very different opinions was not going to make today any easier. She bit her lip, this was going to be a long day ahead. Lloyd was already determined to bash down every block between them. The first being his name... something she was not going to concede lightly... especially after she realized that it got under his skin a little. "If you insist, Mr. Lloyd." she spoke keeping her face relatively straight. She wasn't going to let him see that she was actually teasing him a little bit in her own way. Time passed slowly she realized as they rode in silence. It was okay when she rode a lone that she rode in silence, but for some reason sitting with Lloyd and his guards it seemed a little oppressive. She was almost relieved when he talked, until he started asking about her father. Instantly her low mood set in a little lower. Why was he so concerned about her relationship with her father. It wasn't any of his business, she felt, if she decided she didn't want to talk to her father and did everything she could to avoid him till she had no other choice. He really did have a knack for picking the subjects that made her want to lash out at him.. At least, until he apologized and started asking about Milly. That was something she felt a little better about talking about. " I am making it a point not to talk to my father right now... " She responded, knowing it was likely he wouldn't let it go until she said something on the situation. Her tone made it very clear that was all she wished to say about it. But the subject brought Caitlyn thoughts back to her cloak and realized she could remove the cloak she wore and folded it in her lap before she responded to him. " Milly, I am blessed to have a friend like Milly. " she spoke. " Milly understands things about me more than I would like admit... Even last night, she was mad at me, but this morning she helped me figure out everything we would need today. The whole time cackling like a mad woman, because she knows that this is not normal for me to do. " As if to prove a point she held up the basket her and Milly prepared that morning. She wished she had dragged Milly along with her, but Milly absolutely refused to go. "As silly as it sounds, I know that no matter what Milly will always have my back... and I will always have hers..." She looked at the basket. " She is a great friend, and Its because of her that I...." She bit her lip. How could he understand when he claimed to have this type of bond with everyone he met, that having one person who appreciated her despite all her faults meant. She didn't think he would understand that Caitlyn felt Milly was worth more than all this friends combined.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd could pick up on her uneasiness about how he was always so willing to help someone. He never thought he'd be used by anyone. He wouldn't use people so he expected the same. Wasn't that how things worked? It did in his mind. Lloyd had never been wronged before. At least to where he was able to catch on. The men at the tavern drinking up only because he paid for their drinks. The women hovering over him, willing to sleep with him only to try to have a child with him. He couldn't see any of this. Everyone was good, even criminals. Criminals where just misunderstood.
Lloyd frowned when she spoke 'Mr. Lloyd'. It was slightly better than Mr. Middleton, but it still hurt his ears hearing her saw that. "Aw, come on." He playfully pouted. "Lloyd that's it. Mister kind of makes me feel old." Lloyd chuckled a little hoping that this would be the end of it then. He could hope at least. Not many things bothered him or got under his skin but that one did. He felt so weird having that title or any title. He liked Lloyd. Was that too hard to ask for?
Lloyd frowned even more when he heard that she was making a point not to talk to her father. That just settled it then. He'd talk to him for her. That was a bad habit of Lloyd's, always mingling into business that wasn't his. That was probably why people also did take advantage of him. They may think him too stupid, but was it a crime to care about everyone and wanting the best for them? He would drop it for now though and not talk about her father for the rest of the time they were together.
"You speak quite highly of Lady Milly." Her words got Lloyd thinking. About how Milly had her back and how Caitlyn had hers. Would his friends do the same? He would like to think they would. He would always have their backs. Then Caitlyn used the word great friend. Something like a best friend he assumed. "Hm? Because of her that you what?" He was curious on what the rest of her sentence was. He also took mental note that perhaps he should try to better get to know Milly himself.
A little while longer, Lloyd stopped his horse. They were at an open meadow that flourished with flowers. A large tree stood next to them, one of the only trees in the area. "Here, this spot will be perfect for our picnic." Lloyd smiled as he dismounted his horse. He walked over to Caitlyn, offering his hand to help her dismount. Even if she didn't need it, he was purely just being a gentleman. "While we set up the picnic, why don't you tell me more about yourself. Your likes for example." He was hoping to find out things she enjoyed so he could use that to bring them closer as friends or perhaps hit her romantic spots.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank She was right.. The title mister did seem to get to him a little and she faintly smiled to herself. It was nice to see that even he had things that made him uneasy. She thought about it a minute, wondering how much she should push that particular button, realizing it might be something that she would save for a rainy day. When she felt she would need an upper hand against him... But that left her feeling uneasy... She didn't have very many options to call him, and she really didn't want to be on a first name basis with him... Not yet. She realized she was gonna think on it a bit... though... next time she might use the word sir... Lloyd didn't press her about her father and she was somewhat relieved. Somewhat... she would feel a little better if it wasn't for the idea that she caught he was definitely thinking about something... She hoped that it was nothing serious, she hoped that he wasn't going to try and interfere. He barely knew anything about her, or her situation, that would be reckless on his part and make matters much worse for her... But she set those thoughts aside, Lloyd had other things to worry about... Like whom was the next woman he was going to bed... Surely he knew she would handle it when she was ready, not a moment before hand. " Milly... Milly accepted my magic before I did..." she muttered. " It helped me come to terms with my own feelings..." And that was true, more than true. Milly taught her was real friendship was. The nobles she grew up with, she realized, had forgotten that notion. They arrived at what Caitlyn realized was a meadow and she was shocked when Lloyd dismounted and claimed that they should set up here. She looked it over a minute, and thought that it would be a nice place to look. A smile spread to her face as she nodded, and lasted until Lloyd was by her side offering her a hand to step down with. She debated mentally a moment if she should just brush the gesture off, but knew lately with her luck she would fall and land in some undignified manner before him. As appealing as the thought sounded she knew she probably shouldn't risk it and accepted his gentlemanly gesture. " Thank you Sir," She spoke letting the smile return. If he was gonna act like a noble, or gentlemen, she felt it was fair to refer to him as one. Caitlyn was finding herself a little more than relieved once again, when she remembered the guards were present. Otherwise she probably would have felt that this situation was becoming a little too personal. She wondered how much Lloyd planned ahead, or if he just had a natural tendency towards activities that danced the boundary line of something friends and romantic partners would do. She also felt some relief that if she felt things were getting to be too much, and she wanted to flee she wouldn't have to worry about him returning home safely. T ypical Cat, always looking for her door out she swore she could hear Milly's voice chime in her head. She gathered the supplies and set to work unpacking them... " You want me to tell you about me?" she spoke as she kept her hands busy... She was more than unsure how she should respond, her response would define just was boundary she expected between them.. " Haven't I talked enough?" She muttered a little uneasy, recalling the chatting they had on the way here. Whether he realized it or not, she talked a lot more about herself than she had in a long time.

"I'm glad that you learned to accept your own gift. Sometimes it takes others to accept you first before you can accept yourself." Lloyd knew though that being a magic user was not easy. People didn't understand and thus did not treat you equally. Which is why he tried his hardest to always treat everyone equally. A fool perhaps always trying to accept everyone to befriend them. Though, he did wonder, if he did get magic abilities if his friends would accept him. Of course they would, what was he thinking. They were his friends after all. Besides, how awesome would it be to use magic!
Lloyd sighed, letting his head fall forward when she said 'Sir'. Clearly she wasn't going to use just Lloyd. He'd have to come up with a way for her to call him Lloyd. He wondered why she didn't. At least sir was better than mister. "Please, you don't have to use Sir with me." He looked up and gave his puppy eye look. He often did that look when he wanted something or something wasn't going his way. Did it always work? No, but he had to try.
Two of the guards stayed on their horses, while the other one stayed close to Lloyd. He was unsure about this picnic. The food had not been prepped by any of their cooks, but instead Miss. Caitlyn. She was not high in her nobility which meant she had little credit. He thought about testing the food himself, but he could see Lloyd throwing one of his pouts. He was just going to be doing his job and clearly, Lloyd would not see that. He'd have to keep a close eye on things and watch carefully.
Lloyd shrugged a little with a grin. "Don't worry, I'll do the talking then. Well what would you like to know about me? I guess you can tell from last night that I like to tell stories. Even if I was not actually there. I always thought though how much fun an actual adventure would be like though!" Lloyd smiled the entire time he talked. "Honestly, I'm shocked you're the only one to call me out so far. You'd think people would realize my parents do not allow me outside of the city very often." He frowned slightly. "What about you? Have you ever gone on any adventures?" He didn't know if her father kept her inside the city as well or not. He did know their status was different and it made him wonder if she had more freedom. Of course he wished everyone to be equal but he knew they weren't. He was 'special'. That's what his mother would always say. Couldn't everyone be special though in their own way? Just because who his great grandfather was shouldn't matter to him now. That was generations ago.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank summary until I am not so angry to actually retype: Lloyd's stare irks her because he not only manages to not become annoyed by her sir comment, he responds with the puppy dog stare and she hates it because she finds it hard to resist. She determines that he is a curse against womanhood, and holds her ground with will power. Notices that the guard is eyeing food and decides to take the high road and offer him food, justifying it by the fact that it would be wasted if she didn't ... mentions that she would like to travel, eventually, but since her first contract this was her first time leaving the confines of their town. small paragraph about why, and a comment on part of her misunderstanding on her father, that he realized how close she came to dying and she thought he was mad because she stormed off after a fight and returned home summoner to retaliate.

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
The guard that was nearest to Caitlyn and Lloyd seemed a bit, stunned, when Caitlyn offered food for them. It eased his mind if only slightly. He would be the only one out of the three guards to eat, just in case. If things seemed all right, then the others could join in later. "Thank you, Lady Wallace." He spoke with a faint smile. Perhaps things would go smoothly. That would be nice for a change. Usually if Lloyd went out beyond the city, he often would try to ditch the guards and go off on his own. They had always found him in a timely manner, but all it took was one wrong minute and Lloyd could be in serious danger.
Lloyd lit up when she mentioned that she would like to travel one day. He was a bit saddened to hear she hadn't been outside of the walls for awhile, but his mind was already thinking of plenty of other things. "Then it's settled! One day you and I will travel together! I'd love to see all the different villages. Meet different people. Have a grand adventure too! It isn't often I talk about wanting my own adventures, but when I do nobody really is willing to go out on one." Lloyd had nearly forgotten already that the guards where there. They would repeat this back to his parents, and he would have another long talk about how his place was at home.
"An adventure to call our own." Lloyd grinned still thinking about it. Of course he knew of some of the dangerous out there. Monsters and bandits, but he merely thought he could take them on. After all he was quite strong and knew what he was doing. Plus he could take quite a few hits before he fell. Plus, having a summon mage would be perfect. There was no way any summon magic could fail to monsters or bandits.
After everything was laid out, Lloyd placed out the desserts as well. He had a small mixture of a little of this and that. He started to munch on some of the food Caitlyn bought. "Wow, this is pretty great." He grinned as he continued to eat. "So did Milly teach you how to make all this?" He wondered. He had tried to cook himself, but most of the chefs in the estate would shoo him out. He was lucky enough to know how to make a sandwich. He had managed to pick up a few other cooking skills from the villagers when he watched them. Still, it would be wise to probably not eat anything Lloyd made.
The guard had been eating himself already, keeping a close eye on everything. The food did not seem poisonous and thus the others joined in. "You know, Lloyd. As much as you find it 'thrilling' of an idea to go out on an adventure, it is not wise." He spoke. "I come from a small village about fifty miles away from here. The trip here, well, I lost a few of my fellow guards. We ended up being ambushed by a large gang of bandits. What would you do if that happened to you?"
Lloyd looked at the guard and shrugged. "I'm not worried about it. I've had quite a bit of training with you guys. I know what I'm doing." Lloyd started to smirk, but quickly let the smirk fall from his lip. The look the guard was giving was nearly enough for Lloyd to wish he could hide. "Yea...all right. I get it. Still, it should be my choice." He mumbled with a hint of annoyance in his voice. All his life he was seen as a high noble, someone that needed to be this 'great' person that others had to look highly to. He knew all that. Didn't mean he liked it. That was why he believed if he could befriend everyone instead and show them that they are equal to him, maybe they would treat him equally as well.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank Caitlyn smiled as the guard accepted the food she handed to him. He would learn quickly that she was not out to hurt anyone. She gave a faint nod of apology again for earlier, as well as for understanding just from her few short hours how big a hassle they probably had. As if to prove her thought she nearly jumped as Lloyd decided that they would go on an adventure together, and instantly a sense of panic and dread filled her veins again. " What do you mean that decides it!" she whipped her attention to him. " Just because I admit that I would like to travel, and some how you equate that to I will travel with you?" But then the rest of his words hit her and she barely managed to keep a mild blush from toning her cheeks. " To call our own? Are you insane... who speaks like that!? What makes you think that I want to share my adventure!" It was a bitchy comment, and selfish. But she didn't know Lloyd let alone know him well enough to trust that he would be a great travel companion. She still couldn't forget the voice in her head singing it's warning to her that he just wants in her pants. Traveling together was just a baaaaddd idea. And he probably thought nothing of it, she realized, justifying his reasoning to being a woman he wanted to sleep with and a mage... The he commented on her food and she felt a warm feeling of flattery. Yes, Milly played a large part in preparation, but Caitlyn did what she could and she felt proud that was recognized. " There were somethings we prepared, but others I picked up on the way to meet you... I ran out when the servants were growing too curious. I couldn't finish what we had prepped." She spoke calmly. "I don't exactly get to spend time with people, and this much food was something they couldn't help but comment on when they saw I was fixing it.." She listened as the guard spoke about some of the dangers of traveling and watched as Lloyd listened to him, sort of. It was kind of hard to blow off when A trained soldier mentioned a journey they had, and losing part of their party. She sighed, death was something that Caitlyn hated, but all to stark a reality in their world. And death does not discriminate against noble or peasant. She ate silently eating her own sandwich.

Lloyd was quite shocked to hear Caitlyn shout out like she did. She didn't want to travel with him. Or at least that is what it sounded like. Then she mentioned about how she didn't want to share her adventure with him. He frowned a bit. It seemed both the guard and her where not going to take his side. However, an idea came to mind. "Come now, everyone wants to share their adventure with someone. Besides, going on an adventure with friends is a great idea and it'll be fun." Lloyd knew that Caitlyn would come around or at least he really hoped she would. There were many times Lloyd thought about running off on his own to have his own adventure, but he knew going alone was a stupid idea. However, going with someone as great as Caitlyn, surely they'd be all right. She could summon up magic! Perhaps he should tell his parents of this. No, that would probably be a bad idea .They didn't exactly share the same views on magic users and more than likely would have him locked in his room until he thought things differently. Perhaps he really would just have to run away to start his own adventure. He just really hoped that Caitlyn would want to go with him. That was it! He knew what he had to do. He'd pack up and leave in the middle of the night. Go to Caitlyn's place an tell her he was leaving. Surely, as a friend, she'd tag along.
"I can tell what was home made and what was bought. Home made tastes so much better. That's probably why I like Milly's parents tavern so much. They always have great home made food." Lloyd smiled. Sure he ate at his estate, but it was different. He'd rather eat with the gaurds and share in their food that way than his own parents. The guards where more lively and the food wasn't as 'neat' as what was served for the Middleton's. That kind of food tasted a bit ...well not right. Or was it more for the fact that Lloyd just wanted to eat with friends and have livly conversations.
An old gentleman with gray hair started to walk towards the small group while he led his horse. It was clear this man had lived many years. "Ah...ex...excuse me." The old man spoke, his voice that seemed to once hold a powerful strength, was weak now.
Lloyd stood up, but the guards blocked him already. Lloyd rolled his eyes. "Haven't you guarsd heard about that one should respect their elders? He's fine. He isn't going to hurt us." Lloyd tried to push through the two horses, but was unable. Instead, he went under a horse and then walked ahead of the guards so he was close to the elderly man. "Hello, good sir. You look like you could use a bit to eat. We have more than enough."
Heh, this is too good to be true. Already offering me food and I bet he'll offer me coin too once I tell him some sob story, the old man thought. The old man slowly nodded his head. "That would be a grand idea, young sir. I lost most of my food and valuables while traveling from the last village. I got lost and some bandits hit me up. Thankfully Willow here," he patted his horse. "He took off and I was able to find him later. Saved me from my own death I am sure. Tell me, how close am I to the city?"
Lloyd frowned when he heard the mans story. He helped him over to their picnic and grabbed a plate and filled it for him. He watched as the old man start to eat. "I am sorry that bandits attacked you. Here," Lloyd pulled out one of his coin pouches. "Take this. It isn't much, but hopefully it'll be enough to cover what you lost." Lloyd never thought people would use his genorousity against him. "And you're real close to the city. When you're done eating I'll have one of the guards escort you to the city."
The guards where eyeing the old man carefully, not liking that Lloyd was being so friendly to an outsider.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank
Caitlyn tried to ignore the fact that he seemed hurt by her snapping at him. Did he not get that just making up plans and decisions like he did was what set her off. He just assued that she was going to be his traveling partner, just because she said one day she would like to travel herself. He tried to plead his case and she rested her chin on her hand... " You are right, if they make a mutual agreement to travel together.'' She tried to ignore him as he sat there deep in thought, and ate her food keeping her frustration under reign. She would have been more open to the idea if he had of asked first. It was his impulsive nature that seemed to rub her the wrong way. That and the impulsive nature which he was trying to decide to do this. Didn't he realize how dangerous this really could be, and just because she could summon, didn't mean that she could heal them if on of them got hurt. Then he commented on being able to tell the difference between store bought and home made foods. She looked at what was on her plate and nodded a minute. It was not surprising that there was a difference, but that a man of as high of status could tell the difference, and seemed to prefer the lower class option did. The people she had once considered friends would have scoffed at anything made by non professionals... It was a change she did not expect, but she found oddly relieving... Especially with the compliment he gave Milly's family. Business, especially a nobles can only benefit them. " Thank you," she whispered, feeling that it needed to be said. He not only complimented Milly's family but the cooking that Milly and she had done. It was not proper that she didn't respond someway. Even if she was slightly annoyed about his antics a minute ago. She wasn't sure if he heard or not, because right as she spoke a elderly man rode up on his horse and Lloyd's attention had been averted towards him. Lloyd berated his guards again as he weasled his way around them. It was only a matter of seconds, before the elderly man had been brought back to eat with them. Caitlyn took the peace where she could find it and this stranger had brought a bigger gift than she had realized at first. She bit her lower lip and continued to eat, wondering if she could find a way to end this meeting short. Lloyd was not like the typical nobles she had dealt with, and that to most people would be alright... But she felt incredibly uneasy. She could not ignore the fact that seh felt he was more dangerous to her. She did not want to get closer to him than she had too. The elderly man told Lloyd his "troubles" and it didn't surprised her that Lloyd immediately went to grab his coin purse. Normally caitlyn wouldn't have care, it was the nobles money, but something rubbed her wrong with this man. It also helped that she saw her opportunity to end their picnic... and she placed her hand on top of Lloyd's to stop him from hanging over all his cash just then. " Lloyd," she winced realizing that she had just slipped with his name. She prayed that he wouldn't catch it. " I know that you are trying to help, but just handing over cash... that isn't going to help him. The merchants are gonna see that he has a bag of gold and charge him ridiculously for their wares. It would be more beneficial for him if you took him yourself, the merchants like you and would be more willing to give a discount." It sounded contradictory to her, what she just said, but Milly told her that the merchants did like Lloyd. They didn't always over charge him like the did the other nobles because he always spent his money there. And she was realizing that they probably would not feel right robbing the noble with his child-like charm. " If you can that is..."

Lloyd Scott Middleton High ranking Noble
Lloyd tilted his head to the side when Caitlyn stopped him from handing over his coin pouch. What she said did make sense, however. He nodded. "You're right." Lloyd looked back over to the older man. "It would be my honor to go with you and buy whatever it is you need." Lloyd smiled though frowned slightly when he looked over at Caitlyn realizing that their little time together would be cut shorter than he had planned.
"Ah, well not that I want to look a gift horse in the mouth, young sir, but you and your girlfriend seem to be having a wonderful time together. I couldn't fully disturb that. The two of you look so happy together." The old man smiled. Damn it, just give me the damn coin...it's quite clear you're higher up ont he nobility side...there's probably a shit ton of coin in that pouch. Gah..give it to me.
"No it's all right! Really." Lloyd smiled at the gentleman. "And um...Kitten here is just my friend." He turned his head to look at Caitlyn. "Caitlyn, why don't you come with us to the merchant distract as well? I could get you something too. Oh and something for Milly too to say thank you for helping with the picnic." He smiled ear from ear.
The guards shook their heads. They loved Lloyd, but his generosity was a bit much.
The old man kept a gentle smile on his face, annoyed by all of this though. "Well, if you are sure, young sir, it would be greatly appriciated." Alan grumbled and cursed in his head. This would mean he wouldn't be able to just get whatever the hell he wanted. Still, he would be able to get free food and probably some clothes out of this. Besides, tomorrow was always another day and he could easily pull his tricks on other people.

Caitlyn Wallace noble of little rank Her suggestion seemed to actually work and Caitlyn mentally danced with joy with the thought that she may not have to return back to the village with Lloyd. A small blessing for she knew that the more time she spent near him the more likely it would come back and hit her when she least wanted it too. So when he actually considered what she said it took every ounce of will power not to provoke his thoughts more... He was the type that had to make decisions for himself... Instead she listened to the old man and his appeals to why Lloyd shouldn't worry about him taking... even hinting to the two of them that they looked like a couple. Cailtyn nearly died in horror at the thought, sure that she had made the right decision... if this was how they appeared to another person's eyes... They needed to avoid each other where people in town could make that same connection... But before she could respond in her own frustration when Lloyd, corrected the man... stating that they were just friends... Caitlyn seeing that Lloyd was trying to be considerate, bit back the comment about being closer to acquaintances. She knew that he was being kind... and she wasn't completely ruthless. She bit her lip instead and looked away.... Lloyd did well handling the situation on his own. UNTIL he looked at her and recommended that she come with... Her stomach plummeted... how could she had of forgotten that was a possibility... And all her worried about being connected with him in town skyrocketed... She didn't want people connecting her with Lloyd, associating her money and status hungry like all of the other women he has been with... or worse... news getting to her father... He would use that to try and drag her back into the noble society... She didn't want to think of all the ramifications that might come from the idea of them being seen together, and she wasn't sure that she could trust that her cloak would hide her identity as long as she needed it too. If she returned with him she was almost certain that she would be figured out... " That is a generous offer, it really is..." she muttered looking at maybe the guards for help... "But I would just get in the way..." she looked at him a little nervously... " And I should probably return home... I didn't mention that I was heading out... I should probably allow them to know that I am alright..." She fidgeted with the hem of her skirt.
